Great location and beautiful building, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet during the night.

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Qianjing Xiaozhu Boutique Hotel from 25-29 March 2025. The host and all the staff are warm and friendly and the sharing of essential information and food list around the vicinity has been helpful. I chose this hotel due to its simple charm & character. It’s nestled in a quaint neighbourhood with many food options and is also within a comfortable walking distance to People’s Square metro station. This boutique hotel is popular with international tourists and I enjoyed the conversations I had with the other guests as well. Mr Chen, Xiao Su & Xiao Lu, 非常感谢你们的招待与帮助!

The owner and staff are really kind and helpful and make you feel very welcome. The property is tastefully designed and my room was clean and comfortable. There are many, many excellent snack shops and restaurants around. You can walk or take the metro or a taxi to anywhere in the city easily.
Highly recommended for the opportunity to witness and appreciate daily life in this Shanghai neighbourhood!

Very nostalgic and Shanghainese decor. Love the homely style. Owner is very friendly and enjoys telling us the history of the building and the olden days of Shanghai. Heard from the owner that the building was recently used in the firming set of a drama. Hope to watch this drama when its out to reminiscent our stay here.

The hotel was renovated from a traditional Shanghai residential building - Shi Ku Men, which is full of history. Walking inside the hotel, and with the introduction of background by the owner, each part of the structure can tell a story by itself of the old days.
The hotel is located in the heart of Shanghai, only a couple of blocks from Nanjing Road (East), a famous pedestrian shopping street. There are numerous restuarants close by with all kinds of flavors. It is a heaven to the foods lovers!
This is my 2nd time stay. I think there will be 3rd time, 4th time ......

It was a really nice hotel, the hotel was very quiet and convenient our room also really nice and clean, the owner super helpful also and make us feel comfortable and welcome every day he had suggestions for food maps and places around! We will definitely come back!
