Campanile（Shanghai Natural History Museum）

The area is very beautiful, lots of cafes, a really cool Italian restaurant. The subway is just 10min away, another one is across the Suzhou creek maybe 12-15 min away. The room is tired, however very clean. The staff speaks English. Overall would recommend and stay again

I love this hotel. Though no nearby food area but 5 minutes walk you will see some restaurants and only 10 minutes walk to train station & Shanghai History Museum. The room is comfortable and clean. Staff are very helpful too and let us leave our luggages after check out .

The hotel is very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable and has everything needed for a tourist. It is quite and dark in the rooms. The breakfast was great, mixture of western and chinese, everything was delicious. They provide free water. The location is good. 8 minutes of one of the lines and 15 from Line 2. In any case you will have to walk

They were sooo friendly and helpful! I didn’t really expect them to be good at English but they were. The rooms were clean. They have amenities and a laundry room if you need it! I wish I had their names cause they were so amazing I wanted to give them a shout out! Would highly recommend!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Rubbish was removed every day, towels also changed every day. But two times I got clean but very worn towels with a hole. We had two bottles every day, two biscuits, coffee and tea Would be great to add second chair in the room, so it would be possible to sit not only on bed.

I’ve stayed here before many times over the last 3 years. This would normally be our hotel chain of choice based on price point and amenities. The room smelt like an airport smoking room on a bad day. I thought about accepting it as I was tired and it was late but the air conditioning in the rooms on floor 2 are also not good. Noisy neighbours, screaming kids and families sharing multiple rooms next to each leaving the doors open made the experience even more unpleasant. I had to wait 30 minutes for a new room in a grotty reception area with broken seats. After asking for a refund, I got upgrade to a decent room on the 6th floor. Clean and no smell. Breakfast is good here and much better than in other Chinese Campanile hotels- European breakfast choices are all available: pain au chocolate (etc), butter, milk, acceptable fruit juice etc. There are hotels in this area of a higher quality that provide the same for around 1/2 the price. It’s worth trying the Chinese brands. This stay was expensive as I bought it last minute- next, I’ll choose a different hotel. Key point: if you do book here in advance, you can get a better deal and better rooms- request a non smoking quiet room. If you do stay here, the location is excellent. The LV ship is 1 metro stop away. There are plenty of museums within 5 minutes walking distance and you can walk along the canal to the Bund in 25 minutes.
