It was such a pleasure for us to stay at Amara! We had a lovely vacation, and the staff was also very welcoming! Love the high floor view and the room is spacious and clean 🥰 Located in Putuo neighbourhood. It takes roughly 5-7 minutes to walk to Changshou Road Metro Station. Modern bathroom design with great amenities! The gym was well-equipped, but the pool was closed when we visited. Definitely coming again if we come back to Shanghai 🇨🇳

Was a very pleasant stay. Staff were very extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and maintained daily. It was modern and everything worked perfectly. The view was stunning overlooking the city! The gym had all the essential workout equipment. Great location with walkable and cycle-able distance to tourist attractions, delicious restaurants, and tranquil coffee shops all nestled within the vibrant Shanghai downtown fabric. Will definitely consider staying again when I’m back in Shanghai.

We were at the hotel, we enjoyed it very much. We especially want to thank an employee named Lawrence. He is professional, attentive, calm. Answered all our requests. We asked a few questions when he was not at work hours through his personal WeChat and he answered and helped. Many thanks to Lawrence, we had a good experience.

My 4 nights and 5 days in Shanghai were very comfortable and pleasant.

We checked in late (or very early) at almost 3 am and there’s staff stand by, speak good English. The room: Spacious room and sparkling clean. AC/heater works properly so we feel very comfortable even it’s 0 degree outside. The lady noticed that we have 1 boy so she also prepared kid toothpaste + kid slippers and towel set for 3 people every fay. Location: close to shopping mall, metro and CVS

Can’t really said it’s a 5star hotel. Zero privacy, once u take someone to the room they will call ur room and ask to provide any ID card of your guest and do register at lobby - simply question how they r allowed to monitor my guests on public cameras ? Room is too cold and temperature can’t be change, mode of air flow from cold to hot also can’t be change, u got 24/7 cold air flow in winter and u CAN NOT turn it off. It must work all the time, been there for 6 days and spent 3days with fever and cold in bed. Perfect. Food delivery must be picked up from downstairs by urself. Nothing is dry in this room, showers leaking water on the floor. Rooms r separated by wooden door (it’s not a full wall which is tiny anyway) Location is so so. Won’t be back.

Very nice room and great location. Staff very friendly and helpful, one woman in particular called Molly went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible, doing everything she could to ensure we had a pleasant trip

Nice hotel and near mrt

Comfortable and spacious room. Location is near metro lines 7 and 13 for convenient access. Will return to stay at.

Hotel room is clean. Staffs were quick as well in delivering stuffs. Just that i have 1 complaint. Do not be fooled by the massage service. It is not operated by Amara and it is outsourced. Thinking for that high price range, it should be decent. But i was extremely wrong. Massage was very very lousy, and they have hidden charges like additional 15% charges, on top of that, they offered snacks and actually charged an exorbitant price for it too, which they only after the service was done. They also offered 'extra' services in a very subtle way (which was why the massage was lousy, even i could do better lol). Otherwise, room is clean and staffs were great.

The room was very spacious and staff is very responsive and helpful. Breakfast was nice with a lot of selection from both Chinese and Western cuisine. Would definitely come again.

Great hotel, l would recommend although front desk staff was very rude. He took my hotel key card and throw it away like l was annoying him. (picture on the last slide)
