The Castello is wonderful, with spacious rooms and an excellent restaurant. The hotel also hosts classical music festivals and weddings, adding to its charm. This place is so special. We had the family suite and the views from our balcony were incredible and straight out of a fairytale. So charming and beautifully restored. The pool is also incredible and the gardens are beautiful. Staff attentive and genuine. The only setbacks were that we found the decor in our room a little dated and tired. More homely I suppose and not modern or new, but perhaps that is to keep in line with the whole vibe and era of the place. Also there was no air conditioning in our room. The day we arrived was very hot so we had only a few hours sleep as the heat was terrible! Lastly, I received a massage there and without asking the woman massaged my breasts! I don't know if that is the norm in Italy but it's not in Australia and it was really weird and uncomfortable. Being that you are servicing international guests I think they should ask beforehand about manhandling people's private parts as not all cultures dig it! Other than those three things, loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed for 2 nights as the base for our wedding in Umbria. We cannot fault this place. Firstly we are so impressed that time and money has been taken to save what was a crumbling, abandoned village. Now a dispersed hotel it is a wonderful escape from the world. From start to finish the staff provided an excellent service. The suites converted from the original houses are spacious and tastefully decorated with everything you need. The terrace bar has amazing views, the food was amazing, real experience. We loved it. There is so much more to say about thus beautiful place Look it up!

We just returned from spending 5 wonderful days at Castello di Postignano. The hotel is stunning, surrounded by nature. It is so special and beautiful, and the pool is amazing! The service was beyond excellent. The staff is incredible, everyone was so so nice and willing to help in every possible way. We took a big room with 2 bedrooms and a terrace. During the day it was so nice to sit in the afternoon with a glass of wine and at night you can see hundreds of starts in the sky. Our stay was also during a heat wave in Europe but in Postignano we didn't feel the heat (when we went to other places we felt the difference and we were so grateful we were staying there!). There is no AC but you can ask for a ventilator which was enough. Definitely recommend this special hotel!
