Hotel Don Felipe

位置超讚：步行到城堡五分鐘，到教堂7分鐘，到羅馬輸水道二十分鐘以內。服務人員熱情周到，而且酒店的無障礙設施做的很好，方便了輪椅的住客。開車直接進入預訂好的酒店停車庫，停車費每晚17歐。然後有直升電梯到達2樓前台。早餐在一樓，在歐洲算是挺豐富的了，9歐元一個人。（這些都是2023年5月的收費標準）。是精品小酒店，值得推薦。

Cons There were no boxes of facial tissues in the room, so I asked for some. I was told they don’t provide it. There was no hair conditioner either & none was provided. I have long hair- hair conditioner is not a luxury but a necessity & something I expect in a hotel of this caliber. Both detracted from the experience. It makes the hotel sound cheap & they both don’t cost much. Do it! Buffet breakfast at 9Euro PP was continental & just fair. The male desk clerk was the rudest desk clerk I have ever encountered. There is no way he should be dealing with guests. He obviously did not like dealing with tourists. He was much better to me when I started speaking in Spanish. Maybe he doesn’t like non-Spanish speaking guests? I am not fluent in Spanish so that was why I spoke in English at first. We had just gotten to Spain, was jet lagged & my Spanish was rusty. After that encounter, I just tried to speak Spanish everywhere. Pros Really large nicely appointed room with a view of the castle. We had a jacuzzi in a separate room next to the bathroom. We also had a couch, desk & table & 2 chairs in the room. Nice outdoor seating area with great views of the castle. Good location- 10 minutes’ walk to the castle & 15 minutes to the aqueduct. Hotel has a strange layout with rooms on various levels & several elevators & hard to figure out until you get used to it. Take a taxi there as you won’t find it on your own. We flew in from overseas & stayed 2 nights. That worked out perfectly to get over jet lag & take our time. But probably one night is enough to see all the sights in Segovia. Conclusion- Segovia is a one & done city so we won’t be returning. Nice room, slightly odd layout - en-suite bathroom good but up a few steps, but anything was compensated for by the beautiful view overlooking he countryside and the nearby Alcazar. Early morning on our terrace balcony we could see swifts dashing around and storks flying in and out of nests over this amazing scenery! An excellent location to walk into the historic city - cathedral, aqueduct, Playa Mayor, bars and restaurants, and in the other direction the aforementioned Alcazar.

Excellent small hotel with friendly and efficient staff. With stylish rooms and public areas this is an excellent hotel. Very close the Alcazar and other attractions and walking routes around the old city walls. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We arrived in Segovia after dark and went to the hotel after eating roast suckling pig. We booked a room with a balcony, but the front desk mistakenly gave us an interior-facing room, and we quickly changed it after negotiation. The room facilities are slightly simple, but the balcony has a great view, with the "Disney" castle not far away. Breakfast is a buffet and costs only 9 euros per person. The hotel is very cost-effective. In the morning I was surprised to see a bunch of hot air balloons rising from the fields. After breakfast, we walked down the road near the hotel to the lawn by the river and looked up at the castle. We came up (without going back) and visited the inside of the castle (it doesn’t open until 10 am). We returned to the hotel to rest for a while and checked out at 12 o’clock.

Really good hotel, in the old quarter with extremely professional and friendly staff. The hotel, in February, was warm and very clean and comfortable. My room with a balcony had wonderful views of the castle and valley. If you can, stay in this hotel.
