Pro’s - Beds were very comfortable - Fridge, coffeemaker and microwave were all working and very useful - Service at reception was good by and large. If you needed more towels etc is was never a problem. - Rooms were clean - Plenty of parking Cons - Rooms for 1 person would be fine but with 2 it was a little compact. - Housekeeping wasn’t fantastic. They only come once every 3 days unless you ask and even if you do, they didn’t do their job properly i.e, didn’t make up the beds and left the old towels in the room. -The bathrooms were a little basic, but everything worked. - Breakfast whilst free, wasn’t great. The hours were very limited (7-9:30) and the food was average at best. Also the area was tiny, so tables got full very quickly. NB this is based off my friends account as I decided to skip breakfast and eat in the room instead. - Although they offered late checkout in theory, they were very reluctant to offer it when we asked, saying we had to ask “on the morning”. Defeats the purpose of having a late checkout in my opinion, as you need to know the day before so you can plan ahead. - Ground floor rooms weren’t great. Once you opened the curtains you had absolutely zero privacy and we were very unlucky, having a room which overlooked the vending and ice machines, so we hardly had any natural light. Then again we checked in past 8pm so I guess that’s what happens if you arrive late. NB, did look at upgrading to a higher floor room but they didn’t have any with 2 beds, hence why we stuck with the ground floor. If it weren’t for the Housekeeping and late checkout issues, this would get a 3 star rating, but the rest you can expect from a motel style hotel. Other - Pool, Tub and Firepit looked nice, unfortunately we didn’t get to use these so can’t comment on those first hand. Things to Consider (i.e things which aren’t the hotels fault) - The location wasn’t great. The hotel was in a very quiet part of town with very few amenities, so it meant everything required either a drive or an Uber. We’d read somewhere that West Sedona was better for the hiking trails but that’s absolutely not true, as you need to drive to the trail paths anyway. My advice would be to either spring for a hotel in central Sedona or stay in a plush out of town resort. Overall it’s a motel which provides basic yet comfortable rooms to stay in. It was clean and got the job done, but if I had to come back to Sedona, I would probably stay elsewhere, based on the breakfast, housekeeping issues and the location.
