I was like "They don't need another great review" when I saw the overall rating. Fantastic hotel, staff and stay! We've experienced Best Western's improvements over the years and they've really upped their brand. I'd actually contacted their CEO years ago concerning a great experience in one of their older, franchise properties in Yamassee SC and he got back with me pretty quick. The staff were super and though names escape me in these times of senior moments, Sam the overnight auditor is but one standout as she was at every turn straightening, tidying and always making sure that the elaborate coffee set-up in the lobby was clean and orderly. I spoke with the GM Nicholas and found him to be such a solidly dedicated team member and holding a very sincere pride in working with BW+ and the amazing staff at the Sedona site. We visited the Canyon but I'm in agreement with so many that Sedona is a more intimate experience and you feel cradled by of the incredible countrysides nearby and from our room's balcony. Don't get me wrong, the Grand Canyon is sooo humbling per it's sheer immensity, it is so truly grand but we truly became an aspect of the red rock region during our stay there. The ***** of which the hotel is part was fabulous for the shopping, dining end of things, we left with entirely too much turquoise and souvenirs but... Had to carry some memories beyond the pics back home to Richmond Virginia! Scott - Bon Air, Virginia
