This adult-only, pet friendly boutique hotel is for those looking for bougie rather than “hippy earthy” experience in Sedona. Afamily owned enterprise (to have a second location in Sedona near Oak Creek) we found the hotel to be reminiscent of the vibe experienced at places such as the Hyatt’s Andaz boutique hotels. Although it falls a bit short regarding facilities. Guests stay in bungalows that have glass walls facing the iconic Red Rocks. However, unless you are in the “front row” for those views the mountains are really only visible fully from the rooftop fire pit patios on each bungalow. This is the unique feature of this place. (The streamed promotional videos only show you the few best located bungalows). Amenities are similar to that of Andaz as an array of free snacks and nonalcoholic drinks are in the rooms. There is a free standing soaking tub, dual shower head glass shower and mini bar and sofas. Beds are comfortable but not as luxuriant or “cushy” as those we have had at Hyatt’s Andaz, Miraval and some boutique European hotels. The pool area and restaurant are lovely and quaint with fire pits and ambient lighting and poolside live smooth jazz music at night. The spa is small but with lively treatment rooms that have murals of iconic AZ natural park destinations. There is no workout facility but the hotel will drive you to a Snapfitness facility (open 24/7) less than a mile away. Also they have cabs and a luxury Lexus sports car that they use to shuttle guests up to 2 miles off property. One can hike directly from the property onto a few easy trails. The food is and cocktails are creative and very good (although not remarkable). There is a $ $40 pp stipend for breakfast - a more than adequate amount and one can pack up to go items for day trips and hikes. However no spa credit. Staff are all lovely and very accommodating. Summary: $1200 minimum per night price is steep for what one gets here but it is all about the rooftop experience and location. However it is right off of a main road in Sedona with lots of vehicle noise if staying near the road. Overall I feel the overnight is worth it mostly for the intimacy.
