Another birthday afternoon tea. There is a distinct lack of staff and the service was practically non existent. Had to go and find staff 3 times. The afternoon tea was a bit dry. Once the food rack was put on the table we had no further acknowledgement. We wanted to upgrade to the champagne tea, but no-one was there to ask or offer. Again with the bill we waited 30mins then went yo the desk. I know it was busy but that does NOT excuse poor service. The hall and grounds are beautiful. The staff when we did get hold of them were pleasant. Will be look elsewhere next year. Shame its gone down hill so much.

This place is absolutely beautiful and stunning. On arrival we were overwhelmed with the fabulous grounds and elaborate interior. We were welcomed immediately by a really professional, classy, efficient manager on reception, who checked all our details for the afternoon tea were correct and showed us to our table. She was brilliant. The bar staff were so friendly, fabulous and could not do enough for us. The welcome was just so warm, inviting and special, by everyone. The room where you have the afternoon tea is just so lovely. The staff are so attentive and cannot do enough for you. The afternoon tea was totally amazing and I am a very fussy eater but they adapted their menu for me and I was so happy. It was perfect! The chocolate brownies are the best I have ever had! The food was just delicious and such good quality and the strawberries, chocolate and Champagne were the icing on the cake! It really was like a Fairytale afternoon and we felt so spoilt and so special. It was completely and totally Exquisite! We all left extremely happy and felt like Royalty and I honestly cannot say I have ever had an experience like that. A special thankyou to the wonderful lady manager and her amazing staff for such a beautiful, relaxing and magical experience. You are all a credit to Bagden Hall and we will definitely be back! Thanks again!

We stayed in room 3 for two nights, a large, comfortable room with views over the well maintained gardens. Hotel sits in extensive grounds including pond fountain and folly. Staff very friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Had an evening meal in restaurant both nights and could not fault them.

We booked the room around 6 months ago due to a friends wedding taking place here, We booked a lakeside room thinking we would see a lovely lake but unfortunately that wasn’t the case , £115 a night and was very disappointed, the room was dirty, we did go to reception and say we wasn’t happy with the room but unfortunately due to busy times the alternate room they offered wasn’t any better than the one we paid for. Food was ok, but these pictures will speak for them selfs of how dirty itis.

My husband and I had a two night break staying in the Cuttlehurst suite and from check in to checkout everything was perfect. Marisa was always smiling and she couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was all we could wish for. The suite was large, spotless and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room was beautifully set out with the tables having white tablecloths and the food was delicious. The chef provided me with gluten free meals always adapted from the a la carte menu. Thank you to everyone and we will definitely return in the future.

my husband and I would like to thank your team who worked incredibly hard before during and after our daughters wedding on friday the 6th of December. the venue, food ,service and music , were all excellent . Went to the Hotel for a wedding. Really lovely front desk staff, decent room, lovely surroundings and views and a good breakfast. Value for money. Only negative thing was the pillow wasn't to my liking and never a fan of shower curtains! Would return if I was in the area.

I stayed here one night whilst walking through the area. Beautiful grounds and grand house. Friendly reception. I had an upgrade to a double room. The place has had a recent refurbishment but still has a good period country house feel. My room wasn't large but totally adequate. All the usual accessories and a deep bath. I didn't eat there at night but enjoyed a drink in the cosy bar, no cask beers, but a decent pale ale. Comfortable and quiet night's sleep. There was a good selection of cereals and fruit, but the cooked breakfast was a little disappointing—two very small rashers of bacon, one egg and one hashbrown. Perhaps it was my fault for not asking for more, as I heard other guests did. The staff were very attentive. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good value for a hotel trying to be upmarket. Would definitely stay again

We went for a family reunion and a special birthday, so family and friends from all over UK. Easy to get to but still in the middle of the countryside. Loved the quirky things like the entrance drive speed limit of 6 3/4 m.p.h. and the great big rubber duck in our old-fashioned bath in the suite. This was a standard yellow bath duck but it was 30 cms tall. Suite (room 5) was lovely, great bedding etc. Meals were all good and staff were all lovely.
