Bagden Hall Hotel

Another birthday afternoon tea. There is a distinct lack of staff and the service was practically non existent. Had to go and find staff 3 times. The afternoon tea was a bit dry. Once the food rack was put on the table we had no further acknowledgement. We wanted to upgrade to the champagne tea, but no-one was there to ask or offer. Again with the bill we waited 30mins then went yo the desk. I know it was busy but that does NOT excuse poor service. The hall and grounds are beautiful. The staff when we did get hold of them were pleasant. Will be look elsewhere next year. Shame its gone down hill so much.

This place is absolutely beautiful and stunning. On arrival we were overwhelmed with the fabulous grounds and elaborate interior. We were welcomed immediately by a really professional, classy, efficient manager on reception, who checked all our details for the afternoon tea were correct and showed us to our table. She was brilliant. The bar staff were so friendly, fabulous and could not do enough for us. The welcome was just so warm, inviting and special, by everyone. The room where you have the afternoon tea is just so lovely. The staff are so attentive and cannot do enough for you. The afternoon tea was totally amazing and I am a very fussy eater but they adapted their menu for me and I was so happy. It was perfect! The chocolate brownies are the best I have ever had! The food was just delicious and such good quality and the strawberries, chocolate and Champagne were the icing on the cake! It really was like a Fairytale afternoon and we felt so spoilt and so special. It was completely and totally Exquisite! We all left extremely happy and felt like Royalty and I honestly cannot say I have ever had an experience like that. A special thankyou to the wonderful lady manager and her amazing staff for such a beautiful, relaxing and magical experience. You are all a credit to Bagden Hall and we will definitely be back! Thanks again!

We stayed in room 3 for two nights, a large, comfortable room with views over the well maintained gardens. Hotel sits in extensive grounds including pond fountain and folly. Staff very friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Had an evening meal in restaurant both nights and could not fault them.

Came to a family wedding today arrived at 4pm, staff were great but unfortunately not enough seating anywhere in the room, we asked for the main room to be open as a couple of us needed to sit down it's was stated the main room would not open till 7pm. The fish and chip cones were luke warm and full of grease and the burger bites were nothing special. It is a long time to stand for 3 hours and have nothing to eat that was substantial. We left early from the wedding.

My husband and I had a two night break staying in the Cuttlehurst suite and from check in to checkout everything was perfect. Marisa was always smiling and she couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was all we could wish for. The suite was large, spotless and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room was beautifully set out with the tables having white tablecloths and the food was delicious. The chef provided me with gluten free meals always adapted from the a la carte menu. Thank you to everyone and we will definitely return in the future.

my husband and I would like to thank your team who worked incredibly hard before during and after our daughters wedding on friday the 6th of December. the venue, food ,service and music , were all excellent . All guests that attended and stayed at Bagden had a wonderful time . well done Bagden hall and happy Christmas to you all . John and Jenny Berry
