Amaryllis Hotel

We stayed at Hotel Amaryllis for a few nights. Great place to stay. So friendly. Nothing is to big to ask. Very accommodating. We ate at Veranda as well. Wonderful food. Breakfast buffet was wonderful with a few changes daily. Our room overlooked the pool off the balcony. They were great with directions as well. aryllis I would stay again.

Stayed with Hubbie and 2 friends. Staff are really friendly and keep the hotel nice and clean. Rooms are clean and comfy. Our balcony looked onto the mountain. Breakfast buffet was delicious with some changes daily (cake/eggie bread etc). Close to beach to be able to see sunrise or go to the many restaurants. Staff helped us book a boat excursion to volcano and other islands, thermal spring and are happy to help with any queries we had.

We spent a week at hotel amaryllis in May. What a lovely little hideaway hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again. Its just a stone thow away from the beautilful black sand beach too Nothing was too much bother for any of the staff. Always welcoming and very helpful. We arranged a tour through the hotel and even had our own guide to take us to the correct bus stop. Couldn't ask for more. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing.

If you are looking for a place you feel like home and treated like family, stop here for your stay in Santorini. Great breakfast. Nice, clean, small pool. Everything always spotless. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best beaches in the island 3 minutes away walking. Buses, supermarkets, souvenir stores, pubs, 1 minute away walking. Huge parking for you car around the corner. Best restaurant of the island in the same building, called Veranda Amaryllis. We don't know where to begin... We (as a couple) stayed here for 6 nights. The Amaryllis Hotel has severell types of rooms, a pool and a great breakfast. The cleaning team is restless and everything is spotless at any time. More, and better, they have their own restaurant (open for dinner) outside of the hotel where you can eat the best greek food and pizzas you can eat in the hole island... and 5 minutes walking, in the beach, also a restaurant Aquarius (open for lunch and dinner) sitting 10 steps away from the best beach you can find in the island (we know it, because we have been in every one of them). But the best of all are the people here who go to infinity and beyond to make the best for you. We wish the best to Markus and family, to Kostas, to Giorgos, to Nora, to Philippos and to all the other members of the staff we didn't get their names but are indispensable for everything to work so well... There are no words to express how much gratitude we feel for sharing a few days with this amazing family.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was basic but clean and perfectly functional. Big bathroom with shower, although the water turning on and off during a shower was a little frustrating. The Bed was comfortable and we slept well. No balcony but a large window with security mesh was useful to keep the room cool.

I could only give 3* as this reflects the terrible room we were given. We were given room 15 in the basement, can only compare it to a dungeon, the corridor leading to it was unwelcoming also. There was an intermittent bad drain smell in both the corridor & our room. This is quite frankly the worst room I have ever had anywhere in the world! So tiny that one person had to sit on the bed for the other to access the bathroom, door or patio. Only 1 bedside table, no room for 2, nowhere to put our clothes so the room was constantly untidy & we couldn’t find anything, 1 small cupboard that had black mould on the wall, it also contained a safe & small 2 drawer chest so unable to hang dresses. The small patio just looked onto a wall, the bathroom was minuscule & flooded every time we showered. The sink had a crack. There was nowhere to unpack toiletries & the extraction fan didn’t work. The room is not suitable for 2 people. I asked 3 days on the trot for a different room, we would have happily paid extra for a better room but apparently there were none available. Other negatives are the hotel was advertised with a bar & snack bar which were not open, also the small pool looked dirty, we never saw it being cleaned or the PH levels checked. Plus points were the bed was comfy & the hotel is super clean. The staff are pleasant too. Also lovely hotel cat! Breakfast is basic & is the same every day, the coffee isn’t nice as it’s just kept hot in an urn. Highly recommend booking a superior room if you choose this hotel as our experience was completely spoiled by the terrible room
