Kastro Suites

- Despite the amazing location of the hotel at the caldera, the attitude of the hotel owner was unbelievable. Never been in a situation in a hotel where the hotel owner or manager shout and point fingers at guests despite what the conflict is about… zero hospitality and respect. If you are welling to accept people to insult you for the sake of good sea view then take the risk and try this “Hotel”. - Bathroom is in a very bad condition and requires a complete renovation to be usable. - Bedroom furniture is old and need replacement. - The hotel doesn’t give you fresh towels every day, you need to dry your used towels at the balcony during the duration of your stay. - Breakfast fast is very limit and below average for the price you are paying. In 22 years of travels and vacations, this by far the worst experience I ever had.

We stayed at Kastro suites at the beginning of July 2023 and our stay could not have been more pleasant! Our host, Bora, was incredibly welcoming and helpful during our time there, as were all the other members of the staff such as Mario. The family suite we were given was large and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and we even walked barefoot in the large inside court that doubles as a patio for the suites. The hotel is on the cliff so the view from the window and the patio is simply breathtaking. Even with tourists from cruise ships in town we could enjoy an island of peace on the terasse, away from the noise. Simply beautiful! There is even a small pool to sit in to cool off or even watch the beautiful sunset. A memorable stay!

I've been to Santorini many times and this was by far the most enjoyable stay yet! I can't compliment Kastro Suites enough. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to tend to our every need. The view is simply stunning. The rooms are clean and comfortable and our room had plenty of space for the 4 of us. The location is perfect. You will be happy you booked this hotel. I will be back again, and hopefully again, and again.... We stayed in September and the weather was perfect.

We spent 4 nights in Santorini and the Kastro suites was a real oasis from the hustle and bustle of this beautiful island in August. Despina and Mario couldn't have been more helpful, warm and professional. Thank you for your hospitality! The location is really fantastic with an incredible view, and it so central, you are steps away from everything. The pool is great for a quick dip to cool off, and we spent much time on the balcony enjoying the serene surroundings. Breakfast on the balcony was a lovely way to start the day, and Despina also helped us book a sunset boat tour which was a lovely way to see the sunset without the craziness of Oia. The suite was really comfortable for the four of us - the bed probably the most comfortable I slept in during our trip. Very very clean, towels changed daily if required (with pool / beach towels available from reception). A truly lovely stay. The decor may need a bit of updating - but it's a charming, lovely place and we couldn't have asked for more for our vacation. Two bits of advice for Santorini - avoid August if you can as it's just too crowded at times; and walking down to the Port can be really hair raising as you try to dodge the donkey poo and donkeys going up and down the steps with cruise passengers on their backs.

My friend and I were here celebrating one of those “decade” birthdays and we had such a fantastic time!! The location is incredible…the caldera view and it’s literally a two minute walk to wonderful restaurants and shops. Breakfast overlooking the water is incredible. Thank you to Despina and Mario for making our stay such a memorable one. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Santorini!

Super location, very central. Staff were amazing, so efficient and helpful. They arranged transfers for us and booked a lovely restaurant. Accommodation was lovely, clean and well presented. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
