Impressive One

This hotel was a dream! So clean and hygienic. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Breakfast buffet was really good. Pool area just great and never any difficulty getting a sun lounger . Only thing I’ll say is the location… difficult uphill walk on the side of the road to reach the nearest town Pyrgos. Would recommend renting a car/ quad if staying here, or be prepared to spend quite a lot on taxis. But overall great hotel!

Overall this is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the are kept immaculately clean. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, in particular Irene who always has a smile and is always willing to help and provide hints and tips on getting around Santorini. Breakfast is wonderful with all fresh fruit and pastries, however with just one lady running this, food can run out quickly when a few people arrive at the same time and on a couple of occasions there was no pasties, bread or scrambled egg by only 10.15 which was a little frustrating and when I asked the lady for some more break I was told it was all gone. We left before breakfast one morning for a trip and Irene was super helpful in arranging a breakfast picnic box for us which was really appreciated. As others have mentioned, the hotel is located a little out of the way and next to a busy main road but this didn’t bother us at all - you can easily walk to the bus stop and Pyrgos however be mindful, particularly with young children, that there are no footpaths and it can feel quite dangerous making this walk as a family. One of the biggest downsides of the hotel for us was the noise during the early morning - from 5am onwards most days it sounded like a train was travelling underneath our room until around 7.30am. When I asked the lady on reception she looked surprised however on speaking to other guests it was obvious that other people had experienced the same and had asked to move / the noise comes from the cash and carry which backs onto the hotel and its warehouse is situated directly underneath the rooms we were staying in (101 and 102) This really did negatively impact our holiday and if we did stay here again we would request rooms away from the cash and carry. I would also say that as a family of 6 with 4 children, we did feel uncomfortable several times around the pool - it’s a very small pool and the hotel attracts a lot of couples, some of them older, and it was evident some of them did not want to be around children (although I would question why you would book a hotel which is not adults only during peak school holidays if you did not want to be around children) There were some older couples however who were lovely and chatted to the kids but for the most part we ended up going to the beach as we felt so nervous that the children would make too much noise or splash people when they were playing - additionally the hotel staff did mention that they receive complaints if there is too much noise in the pool and asked us to be mindful when the children were laughing etc. The children loved the pool but naturally with 4 of them laughing and having fun, this can be quite loud and I ended up feeling guilty for constantly sushing them when they were on their holiday. I would suggest this hotel is more suited to either adults only (maybe they should consider changing to this?!) or families with only 1 child - I’d hate for anyone else to feel as self

Would highly recommend. The place is beautiful in itself, great sized room and easy location to walk to shops or a short walk to nearby villages. The staff are amazing, so helpful, attentive and lovely. An absolute must while in Santorini!!

This was our second time staying at Impressive One and will also choose it again if we visit again. The staff here are so so friendly and welcoming. They are always happy to help no matter what it is. They were always happy to chat with us about what we had been up to and would ring taxis when we needed them, also answering any questions we have. The room was spacious with good air con, a lovely bathroom with a very good shower and the bed was massive. A small patio area outside was perfect for sitting out as well as the pool view. The room was cleaned each day and was always spotless and smelt amazing. Whilst the hotel is a little bit out of the way, this doesn’t bother us as we enjoyed the walks into Pyrgos each evening for our dinner and we also love staying in Pyrgos. Much quieter than the crowds in Oia and Fira but still lively enough. Food at the hotel was also really good. However, only served up until 6pm. When we tried to order food at 5pm we were told we could only have certain items even though this was an hour before 6pm. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to have dinner at the hotel. Overall a fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel. We would always recommend here and would be happy to stay again.

Amazing stay (2 weeks) the lady on reception organised my quad bike and recommended an amazing sunset cruise which I did on day 2. My trip wouldn’t have been the same without her recommendation. The room was spotless and towels and bedding changed regular. Bed very comfy! Food in the restaurant was lovely and cooked by a lady that works very hard. Location, perfect. Walking distance to Santos Wines and Pyrgos village. In the centre of the island so easy to drive to many places in a short space of time. Pool was always nice and quiet, sunbeds available anytime of day. Thank you to all the staff.

We enjoyed fantastic sunsets from our bed! The hotel is a great value for money: it is well taken care of with attention to details that give you a sense of luxury while you feel like home (the warm welcome, the quality toiletries, the good food). It may not be located inside a village, but we loved the fact that we could park right in front of it and it is very close to the port, the town of Fira, and the beautiful village of Pyrgos. The sea view from the suites is stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful and provides you with insider’s tips. Would definitely come back.
