Artemis Santorini

This was our second visit to Artemis (early June 24) and we are returning again in June 25. I love this hotel because it has everything you could want as a base to explore the island or just to have a day relaxing around the good sized pool. The vibrant resort of Kamari is only a short walk around the corner. There is easily accesible and ample parking nearby if you hire a car and also a great supermarket just around the corner on three floors that has everthing you could need (I needed blister plasters lol!) The hotel itself is so pretty. I love sitting outside on the restaurant balcony to have breakfast and enjoy the warm early morning sun surrounded by pink flowers. Breakfast is mainly continental with Toast and conserves, pastries, Yoghurt, honey and then hot scrambled eggs or Pizza slices and all the tea or coffee choices you could want. We found it ample for an included breakfast but I did sometime purchase a huge juicy peach from the supermarket to have with my yoghurt lol! The hotel faces East so you also get the most spectacular sunrises (better than the crowded sunsets at Oia) We were based in room 51 last June, and I would sit and watch the sunrise over the sea with a hot coffee every morning. Bliss! The two sisters who run the hotel are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble, even providing a new kettle upon request so we could have a morning coffee in our room. They made sure we had an enjoyable stay..and last June coincided with my Birthday so they presented me with a lovely bottle of wine to help me celebrate. Kamari is a great base. It comes alive at night with superb bars and restaurants. There is a fabulous bus service to Thira if you don't hire a car. You can get a connecting bus to Oia from the main bus station at Thira (regular buses if not a little chaotic! lol!) I love this hotel and can't wait to come back in June (and hopefully have room 51 again ;D ) See you soon Artemis xx

Staying here now. This is an immaculate, traditional, Greek 3 storey building so obviously doesn’t have an elevator. The breakfast is continental (as advertised) with ham, cheese, eggs, fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, bread, croissants, jam, honey and good coffee. The pool area is peaceful and so pretty with all the bougainvillea and has plenty of sun beds. Yes the showers in the rooms are basic but, how long do you plan on spending in there? The pool bar isn’t open at present but, you can bring your own drinks, so not a problem. The sisters Eleni and Artemis are the best hosts and just beautiful people. It’s the first visit to Santorini for my partner and son and they have fallen in love with chilled vibe Santorini has. We would definitely stay at Artemis again. Thank you Artemis and Eleni xx

Yes, the rooms are small and the marble can last for centuries, but the place captures the essence of Greece's islands. Artemis is on the main road that accesses the rest of Santorini, has its own pool and a short walk to the beach establishments. Elaina, the owner's daughter and hostess, is kind and considerate as well as hard-working. She suggested Alexander's for dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was great. So were the Ozu and desert. We went back several times. Mama's House in Fira was good too. Art Space, an art gallery and winery, is close to the hotel, just a few miles, and at another closeby winery we brought home a delightful preserves called Sweet Tomatoes. Again, the preserves were the essence of Greece. Don't go home without a jar of Sweet Tomatoes! Indeed, in Houston at our annual Greek Festival I was unable to find this 'essence' of Greece among the many Greek products for sale.

We stayed here for 1 x week at the end of September. Perfect place to stay if you want a nice, friendly, quiet, relaxing break. Run by two lovely Ladies who make you feel like you are part of the Family. Well kept clean Hotel. Will be going back next year.

we stayed here this month and at first it was great then it turned into a controlling hotel from my experience. 1) you are only allowed to consume food and drink that you buy from them around the pool b) except they don't sell snacks crisps etc. 2)we was given a large beer glass to use whilst we was staying so we kept it in our freezer section to keep drinks cold two days later it went missing from our freezer. i asked the owner had they taken it out of our fridge YES they replied its ours, even tho the barman said it was ok. i explained they had no right to go through our room and fridge etc and that they should have asked, They could not see the invasion of privacy. 3)The breakfast is cold only NO TOAST OR BACON HASH BROWNS ETC. you can have left over pizza, beetroot and cakes tho. lol we ended up using a cafe for a full english breakfast. £24 for the both of us 4)we went to order a pizza 19.50 to eat on our balcony as there menu says they are open until 21.30. the barman said he wasn't going to cook whether he couldn't be bothered or because we stopped going around the pool spending money who knows Although he was still serving drinks and cooking hot food the next day so the appliances were working fine!! 5)Grandma is lovely

Traditional hotel run by 2 sisters. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and strip of restaurants and bars. The hotel is bed and breakfast and the pool is lovely and is so relaxing and quiet. Breakfast is continental and really nice food. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the 2 sisters are so friendly and helpful. Would recommend this. We stayed in a triple standard room.
