Smy Mediterranean White Santorini

Terrible service. Did not tell us the correct prices for transfers. Were not available. Towels never clean. Shower was overflowing all over the bathroom. And to top it all off, they made us move rooms on our last night without notice. Came back to the hotel and had to pack in a hurry to quickly tranfer rooms. Would never return there or recommend the hotel.

We arrived on the 23/6/24 for our honeymoon staying for 10 days. What an amazing place Smy Mediterranean White is, it’s a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms, beautiful pool and lovely wonderful staff. There’s a lovely chill vibe, we will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely time at the Smy Hotel Santorini and would return in a heartbeat. We had done our research online looking for a last-minute holiday to get away for our milestone wedding anniversary and saw the highly rated Smy Hotel - we weren’t disappointed. The decor was nice, the general hotel spotlessly clean and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. In a short stay of only 3 nights, it made a large impression on us. In our honest opinion, we would definitely recommend the Smy Hotel though we heard that there could be some updates and additions which would bump up this hotel from ‘Great’ to ‘Stellar’. Nothing is perfect, so the hotel striving to be even better is a great thing as the foundations are already really good.

Just returned from a week at this hotel with my boyfriend. Loads of plus points including the stunning pool setting, bar/dining area, music, all inclusive drinks package and friendly staff. There's a great vibe and as others have said, despite the airport being so close, the plane noise didn't bother us in the slightest. Unfortunately a few negatives... Our room was pretty basic and tired in places, especially the bathroom, with peeling paint, rust on the shower etc, as shown in the photos. The mattresses were incredibly hard. We have a firm mattress at home but this was like sleeping on a board, so neither of us slept well at all. I'm not sure whether this differs between room types because some of the guests we spoke to also felt the same but others (including older people) claimed their beds were very comfortable. Maybe the bigger rooms and suites are a better standard? Aside from that, Santorini is stunning but be warned, Ubers/cabs are EXPENSIVE. A 3km journey between the airport and hotel or the hotel and Kamari was between €30 and €40 ONE WAY. We hired a quad for €50 a day and went all over the island at our leisure which also made it feel like an adventure. Buses are very cheap but can be unreliable.

We we went with a big tour group and there was a horrible sewer smell in lots of rooms. When we brought it to the attention of the staff they didn't address it. It was only after repeated complaints that they compensated us with a bottle of wine. The pool was very pretty but needs updates and repairs. Everything was dated. The location was very remote. I do not recommend this hotel.
