Bella Santorini

Bella Santorini is being marketed as a 4 and some a 3 star star establishment but this it clearly a false representation of the hotel its clearly a 2 star at a push! The hotel is in need of a major renovation, most of the light fittings were loose and roughly painted. The door to the bathroom was heavy water damaged which meant that the door could not be closed whilst using the bathroom, also the shower head with extremely wobbly and was worried that it might actually fall down. The pool was an let down and quite frankly dangerous there was numerous pools tiles missing which was just swept to the side of the pool and had to be careful that no one cut themselves. Some of the sun loungers were ripped and there was not enough sun loungers if the hotel had more than 12 guests. There was also no way of getting shade as the sun shades were fixed to the floor and did not provide any shade. On the website it mentions and the pool and its jacuzzi but there is no jacuzzi. The breakfast was extremely disappointing and every day during the week we stayed at Bella Santorini it was the same. All the food was unlabeled so we have no idea of what it actually was, it was all uncovered which led to flies being on the food. The selection was extremely poor and not what I would expect from a 4, or 3 star hotel. Most of the food was cold and the hot food was uncovered and rarely replenished. Travelling with someone who has a nut allergy it was extremely dangerous not knowing if the food contained any nuts. The hotel room was soleless and the website images and description are utterly misleading it states that each room has a bath which the two rooms which we had did not have a bath. It also mentioned that all the rooms are supplied with tea and coffee but during the week stay no such tea and coffee was ever placed into the bedrooms. The website also states that each room has a safety deposit box which whilst is true one room they had lost the key so was unable to use the safety deposit box. The room was not cleaned every day and when we highlighted this to reception we were just given clean towels. We also asked numerous times for shampoo but this was never delivered, also on the website it states that each room has a mini bar but again there was no actual mini bar in each room just a fridge. There was no internet access unless you were by the pool and in the rooms we were unable to gain access to the wifi. When we mentioned our concerns to the hotel staff in regards to the pool we were advised that it is because the kids pick the pool tiles off but this is clearly a case of neglect. The hotel staff stated that they upgraded one room to a sea view room but you could hardly see the sea view as it was blocked by a building and would need binoculars to actually see the sea view. I did not find the hotel staff to be amazing as per all the reviews it was quite the opposite actually. There are much better quality hotels that are in the area so would avoid this

Room was clean but no draws of any description 3 ladies has to live out of suitcases for a week breakfast poor no atmosphere in this hotel certainly not a friendly hotel wouldn’t go back was supposed to stay longer but left early and husband didn’t want to come as they wanted to move us as they had a wedding so would have had to move twice in 4 days not a pleasant stay at all definately no where near a 4 star at most a 2

We stayed as a family of 4 mid August for two weeks. We went as a package with easyJet. Were dropped off at the road and had to walk to the hotel down the short path. Not a huge problem for us , not necessarily a hotel problem but not a great start! Arrived and given details of the island, some Restaurants and a catamaran excursion. 150€ pp for the excursion was never going to happen but maybe some are ok with paying this. Room was average. We were in room 114. It was a strange set up as unlike most of the other rooms it had just an open space for a balcony and made it seem like we were sitting out in a walkway! It also didn’t have any shade coverage as was all open so was useless in the day if you wanted a break from the sun. It was right next to the laundry area and whilst I appreciate this has to be done, I don’t really want it right next to the room I’ve paid in for 2 weeks! Room was ok. Didn’t have a problem with the beds, but I can sleep anywhere! The main bedroom had no window and no standalone a/c. The a/c came from the main living room where our kids were sleeping with an open window at the top of the door to the bedroom to allow some of the cool air in. Not great. No drawers at all for clothes. Two weeks worth of underwear for 4 people and not a single drawer to put them in! The hanging spaces are all uncovered, which was ok but not ideal. The bedroom had a strange dressing table made out of concrete with a chair underneath. Was far too tall to use as a dressing table though. Just ending up as the dumping ground. Pool was ok. As others have said tiles were lose on the bottom. The lovely flowing curtains shown on the website near the bar were non existent. We were there peak summer holiday and it was always really busy, not really a big enough area for the number of guests. The restaurant/breakfast room was totally soulless. Had no pictures on the wall. More like a very basic dining area. Bar food ok but cocktails were very expensive at 15€ each. It’s a five mins walk to the beach. There are a few bars/restaurants in this area and all served decent food that we went to. Unlike others, we didn’t find the staff overly friendly, perhaps because we hired our own car and didn’t take them up on their trips. I thinking the reviews here are overly glowing and had I seen more review like Mine before booking, we wouldn’t have gone. We had a nice time, have to make the best of it once you’re there but I absolutely wouldn’t stay here again.

Everyone at Bella Santorini was SO friendly and welcoming. Denise and Alex couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food and drink was brilliant not the mention the fantastic location and gorgeous surrounding. It was the perfect location for those wanting to be close to the beach but want to explore more of the island too! The whole team made our holiday even more special and we cannot wait to come back. All i can say is WOW, what a hidden gem, if your looking for a personal Greek experience this is the hotel for you, nothing is too much trouble, from booking trips to eating out, this has it all, the staff are soo friendly, Lina, Denise, Alex to the house keeping and grounds staff, if you love cocktails see alex as his are amazing, Lina and Denise are very attentive and attention to detail is second to none, we booked trips with lina, (catamaran sunset tour, to dining out) and we had the most amazing time, room was very clean and fresh towels and bedding every day, it's a small hotel but that's it's charm, we arrived as guests but left as friends.

Amazing family holiday at Bella Santorini 🇬🇷💙 we loved the hotel, so relaxing and friendly. Lina and her team were amazing! Could not do enough for you and made our stay perfect! From booking taxis to trips and recommendations they do it all. Pool bar food and drinks great(especially milkshakes) Alex and his family were great throughout the day from breakfast to evening. Setting is stunning, so easy to walk to everything close at Perivolos beach. We will definitely be back to Bella and the beautiful island of Santorini 🧿
