Alti Santorini Suites - Caldera View

Amazing view, needs a bit of a renovation, and there is a bad sewer smell.

We visited Santorini for our 15-year wedding anniversary and stayed at Alti Santorini Suites. Thanks to Yiota for being a wonderful host and always ready to assist to make our stay fantastic. We stayed in the Red Suite with full privacy and the private view was amazing. The food was also good at the hotel. Transportation on the island is expensive if you intend to visit a lot of locations. The hotel will advise on how to rent a car. I will surely stay at the hotel anytime I visit Santorini.

What a wonderful location, excellent amenities and helpful staff! Our room was SUPERBLY appointed, with an unparalleled view of the caldera. Here's what we thought: Pros: - Comfy bed - Many power points for charging devices - Free fruit bowl and welcome drinks on arrival - Helpful staff to organise driver transfers etc - Clean and comfortable interior - Balcony pool cleaned every morning - Conscientious staff - Very generously sized breakfast (although flavour a little lacking) Cons: - We ordered a dinner one night, and it was sadly disappointing! The gnocchi was chewy and undercooked, which was such a shame because the sauce was so delicious. Also, the shrimp saganaki was slightly acidic and not much shrimp. Maybe it was a bad night, but I would suggest eating elsewhere. I let them know about the gnocchi, but it was not deducted from our price and we didn't get any kind of "whoops here's something to make up for it" so... not ideal but shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone else looking to stay here. Just be mindful the food is VERY pricey and a little hit and miss. - Really odd shower! The racks to hang your towels on are super high, it was lucky my partner is tall because I couldn't reach! Definitely a bit of a design flaw there. That's it! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
