Villa Ilias

Location: this hotel is about a 15-20 min walk to Fira. It is much quieter than Fira with fantastic views and outstanding service. Service: couldn’t have been better. Clean rooms, friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and all needs are met. Breakfast: this was included in our stay and offered many options including : over soft eggs, omelet, bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, salami, toast, jams, honey, yogurt, granola, veggies, feta and pastries. The egg and meat options changed daily. Views: fantastic! We could see the ocean and several islands right from our window and door. The pool was small but perfect for a quick dip. The pool bar was great and offers beer and liquor selections with the friendliest bartender, George, who can concoct any drink of your liking. I can’t say enough about this hotel. It was absolutely wonderful! Will 100% be staying here again during my next visit to Santorini!

We had our second stay at this hotel. What a fantastic little hotel. Location is excellent and only a 15 minute walk into Fira with lots of restaurants and shops along the way. Staff are amazing and so helpful. We booked a south facing Caldera View this trip. Had wonderful views from our room and balcony. We always book direct with hotel and the communication is excellent. Get a discount as a returning guest. They arranged our ferry port and airport transfers. As a returning guest we got a free transfer back to airport which was greatly appreciated. Rooms are very clean and a reasonable size. Nice big wardrobe for clothes. No table in our room but we did have a balcony table which we used everyday. Bathroom is on the smaller size but perfect for what we needed. Love the pool area and pool bar. We ordered drinks and also they have snacks and few small meals to choose from which was great after being out and about and before dinner. Bar is run by George and you pay him direct, not the hotel. Lovely breakfast and freshly made coffee in the morning. We will always stay here and hope to return again for our 3rd visit one day soon. Highly recommend this hotel. No negatives from us at all.

Great location. Hotel staff is very friendly and always there to help. On our arrival the person at reception Yarris explained how we can cover different things at island which was really helpful. Hotel staff also arranged rental car for us and rental car pick up and drop off was from hotel itself, which was really convenient. I loved my stay there. Would definitely recommend staying there.

This hotel is in a great location on the walking street away from the hustle of Thira but 10 min walk to it. It is a nice small boutique hotel and the views of the Caldera and sunset from the pool area are as good as anywhere. Lots of people stop to take photos nearby. The staff are amazingly helpful and kind. Would highly recommend staying here. The coffee is great. Breakfast is what you expect from this type of hotel and very homely and plentiful. Improvements if we are being picky for us would be our bathroom which was very basic but believe many others are upgraded from photos. Would we stay again - yes we would indeed.

Fantastic hotel at the top of Fira looking back along the iconic view. Great attention to every detail from communication in advance, welcome drink and sweets, super pool and bar, comfy beds and stocked bathroom. Literally not a single fault. Top tip if arriving by ferry get the hotel transfer rather than bus as took 2 hours to get up of port, stopped all along the way, and had to walk a mile from main drop off in Fira (hotel taxi is approx £35 and bus is e2.50)
