Gonia Residences

I stayed in this villa for a few days, unfortunately Ryanair had a delay and we had to stay an extra day and arrived very late at the villa. I was with my grandparents and parents at 5am and we had already paid months ago (the 16th May 2022) so we expected to receive the keys at 5am and start our trip. The manager asked us for the credit card my mother had used when paying, my mother had recently changed cards and the manager did not accept it (she wanted to check the physical card) and left us until 9am waiting in the cold. Please note that they did not even accept the bank statements she had on her bank account but just this card. We had to wait for the whole family outside in the cold, very tired after the worst flight ever with Ryanair and they had no compassion. In the end we had to pay twice with another card and we are still waiting for a refund. They told us that the refund was made from their side, however this process can take a few weeks and you dont know the exact time you will receive your money. The policy of this place makes no sense. No matter how the villa is, I did not enjoy my stay because I am still waiting for a refund (which may take with their own words "a few weeks"). Please also note that other “solution” was to pay by cash at 5am which was never an option for us. I hope this will never happen to anyone else. Please note that if you do not have another card to pay again, you cannot check in and at the same time you cannot cancel the booking (so it will become a nightmare). I do not understand their policy because you can have bank statements, passports, identity cards etc but they are not flexible (I have travelled to 49 countries and visited cities around the world staying in airbnbs, hotels and different kinds of accommodation and this is the first time a I see something similar) AND if you do not pay again they will not care to leave you in the street (considering you had already paid months ago…). Please see a photo of my grandma waiting in the cold and all our bagages in the street after the manager left us “waiting” just to let you know that we were 6 people waiting outside after the most tiring flight of our lives.
