Hotel Casa del Marqués

Precio hotel clásico con detalles encantadores. Recepcionista muy profesional y agradable. Desayuno espectacular. Resto de personal magnífico. Algun pero, falta insonorización, se escuchaban ronquidos habitación contigua, alcachofa dura más propia de hotel 3* para ser noviembre, se echaba de menos chimenea encendida. En cualquier caso, notable muy alto.

We stayed here for 1 night as a stop over before sailing back to the UK from Santander. The hotel has loads of character, our room was at the back overlooking the garden. We used the hotel car park for €15 which was a lot easier than finding the public car park. One of the staff parked our car for us. The bed was very comfortable and our room was very spacious and clean with a minibar and tea/coffee facilities. We chose not to have breakfast in the hotel but in a local restaurant. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely visit again and take more time to look around the town

Wonderful, historic and charming hotel. I love these small, family run boutique hotels and Casa del Marques did NOT disappoint! Lovely room, comfy bed, clean and pleasant. Front desk staff was super gracious, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was OK. Bar was great! Even better was the help yourself bar in the picturesque back courtyard, full of blooms, orange and lemon trees and two onsite house cats to make it interesting! Only real comment I would have is that updating the rooms really is in order. The bathrooms need a complete overhaul. Loved the bidet, but renovating / updating the bathroom to include getting rid of the shower-in-the-tub, would be equally as acceptable. Lighting not all that good; fairly dim. The electrical system probably need updating, to include more outlets AND USB / USC outlets be made available in the rooms. My adapter took care of all my needs, but I had to move the mattress out in order to use the single outlet behind the headboard - I used both USB outlets, both USC outlets, and the plug. Crossed my mind that I might be overloading the circuits, but I had no mishaps. Just a crooked mattress. The motion detector lights on the stairwells worked most of the time, but were still not enough. Tripping and falling down the dimly lit stairs - even with the motion detector light on - was a real possibility. An accident (and possible lawsuit) waiting to happen I thought every time I descended the stairs from my room. Since there really isn’t all that much to do in Santillana Del Mar (the Main Street is two blocks long and pretty much a single street filled with souvenir shops, cafes and hotels), this was a lovely hotel to hang out in!

I made a booking that was to be paid on arrival, I was then charged in full by the property the same day which my bank blocked due to concerns of fraud. I was then threatened with cancellation if they could not take the full charge straight away which was not the terms i had agreed too. Belen was argumentative and rude, but as I agreed to pay at the property they had no right to charge me in full straight away. If this is how they treat guest its best to avoid this hotel

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. No pool, no spa, no (real) restaurant, but none needed. Top marks for comfort, cleanliness, service and shower. Lovely atmosphere, outstanding location, great decor. A real oasis of calm in the middle of a tourist mecca. With parking. Perfect.

This little hotel was a very rare gem that we stayed in. Built in the 1500s the interior, gardens and decor was amazing. Eva who greeted us was so lovely and helped us with dinner plans and lots of suggestions on where to go and what to do. Bedrooms were incredibly comfortable and big. Did not want to leave this beautiful place.

This is a wonderful small hotel. An exceptionally beautiful building sympathetically converted into a fantastic hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the staff warm, welcoming and helpful. Right in the centre of this beautiful Old Town. We will certainly stay here again, a little piece of paradise

This hotel was magical! Loved every aspect of this hotel. Great service, staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were so comfortable and clean with the perfect amenities and ambiance throughout. Wish I could have stayed there longer!

Beautiful stay, the staff is really diligent, and helpful. Totally recommend it
