Aesthetically attractive building with a beautiful garden. Best location to enjoy Santiago's historic colonial architecture in Barrio Brasil and Barrio Yungay. Next door to the delectable Ocean Pacific's Buque Insignia restaurant. I definitely enjoyed it more than the modern Providencia neighbourhood where I stayed earlier.

So charming, a 1912 villa in the middle of the graffiti heart of Santiago. Breakfast yummy eggs, meats and pastries. The staff were so helpful as the airlines lost or luggage:(. I would highly recommend for business or pleasure. The decor is renovated with artistic simplicity but the light fixtures steal the show.

Excellent facilities. Clean, friendly, very helpful, excellent breakfast, very attractive hotel building and grounds, elegant, quiet and peaceful - overall a wonderful experience. Would definitely return, very highly recommended.

Matildas is a boutique hotel on the edge of Santiago city center. It is in a safe neighborhood. The front desk people, particularly Isidora, are accommodating and helpful. They provide a good breakfast with many options and packed it for us for an early flight to Puerto Natales. So why the 3 stars? They hosted a wedding our first night there. We barely slept during our overnight flight to Miami. They kept our luggage from 10 am but we couldn’t check in until after 3. We toured Santiago, mostly on foot, and arrived at the hotel exhausted after 3 pm. Our room is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. We had a lively view of the garden. We were looking forward to a nap when the wedding festivities started blaring from 4 pm until 11 pm. It would have been nice to have been forewarned about this event which would have allowed us to make an informed decision about keeping this reservation. Our 2nd night, we went to bed early to catch a 4 am flight to Puerto Natales there were other guests having a very loud conversation in the garden that went on until past 11 pm. We got a couple of hours of sleep. If you’re looking for a restful stay, book somewhere else.

This was a fantastic stay and the staff were absolutely wonderful. My stay was unplanned due to a change in my trip and the staff were incredibly accommodating in helping me contact my airline to sort out some ticketing issues, allowing me to check in quite early, and safely storing my luggage at checkout while I went on a tour. The architecture of the building is very beautiful and historical. It was originally a private residence, which gives the hotel a lot of charm and character. The outdoor area is very relaxing after a day of walking around the city. The room stayed very cool in the heat allowing me to sleep very well on a hot day.

Matildas Boutique Hotel provides a calm, friendly and intimate sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the City. With its tree lined garden and seated terrace it makes a perfect Gin & Tonic moment or Breakfast with the morning bird songs. Great location with restaurants easy to reach by walking or cheap taxi to the wide spread city attractions of Santiago.

We loved the old last century villa style with sitting areas on each floor. Great breakfast and super attentive staff. The garden is so beautiful although we didn’t spend much time in it as it’s still early spring and the mornings were cold. Our room was okay, not overly decorated but nice bed linen and it had everything that we needed to be comfortable.
