Nice people.

全員に朝食が付いており、食事の質もそこそこ良かったと思う。夜に何人かで共用部に集まり飲み会を開いていることがあるため騒音が嫌いな人にはおすすめできない。

Hotel très sympa, bien placé en mode auberge donc bonne ambiance. Personnel gentil, réactif. Dommage il faisait un peu froid dans la chambre mais pour une nuit pas de soucis

I'm loving my stay here. Each one of the staff are super helpful, special shout-out to Angie who went above and beyond!! Comfy beds, clean nice bathrooms, and a very generous breakfast served every day. The reception is also 24/7. The hostel is full of lots of friendly backpackers. If I'm ever back in Santiago, this is where I would stay. Thank you guys.

Overall, this is a great place to stay hostal-wise. The shared bathrooms were always very clean, in both the AM and PM when I used them. I stayed in a single room (room 2) and was quite pleased with how comfortable the bed was and how the pillows were the perfect blend of firm and soft. Could use just one more pillow though. Reception speaks English as well. Major props for allowing me to check in earlier after a 24-hour flight journey! Rooms are very clean and housekeeping is also offered (from an unpleasant woman, a sharp contrast from the cheery reception). Breakfast is included and pretty simple but kept me satisfied with eggs (hard-boiled and one day scrambled offered), cereals, cheese slices and fruit. There is a fridge so you can store sundries and a big kitchen to cook. Of course, you should clean up your cutlery and plate ware after use! This isn’t a party hostel which I was super glad about. I slept really well each night. The mini fan in the room is super helpful to block out any noise - room 2 is the closest to reception so without the fan you would hear any talking or music there. A slight warning that the room had a slight musty smell of cigarettes bc a patio is right next to it, and you can smoke on there. Still wouldn’t prevent me from booking this room again (and I HATE cigarettes). The location of this place is ACE, within walking distance of the historic centre, as well as Bellavista. One thing: get rid of the gross bathroom mat! Give guests an extra towel to use to step out of the shower. WiFi worked really well to upload photos and do video calls.

The service is simply amazing. I stayed in a hotel more expensive for days and decided to spend my last nights in another place, as soon as I went in to ask for availability the receptionist Angie attended me with an impressive smile, everyone makes you feel at home. The breakfast is very complete, you choose what to eat, the rooms are clean. The atmosphere is just very nice, all the receptionists speak english so it's not a problem if you don't know spanish. I recommend this place to everyone!

Everything was super, from price to social activities. The stuff was great and I could also make many friends. Congratulations to everyone behind this amazing project. I need to complete the 200-character minimum. Go Hostal Forestal!!!

Angie, Guillermo & juan were amazing. You can not ask for better staff. I would recommend this hostel to anyone! The hostel is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is amazing. Breakfast was also nice, there was hard boiled egg, toast, cereal, drinks and cakes. Enjoy everyone!

The place to stay for Americans and other travelers. This was our home base for over a month. Stay here! The price is right and the people are awesome. Great rooms, comfortable, great people to talk about traveling in this great country. Take it from someone who has traveled.

The staff is just incredible. I had a problem with another guest snoring loudly and they quickly gave a ear blocker that worked wonders. The terremoto night was also pretty good and I felt easily included even though spanish is not my best language.

We had a fantastic stay at hostel forestal! The staff went above and beyond to help us with our trip, helping us book buses, find tours and plan our time, as well as coming to help immediately with any questions or issues. We got free towels and free breakfast as well as fun chilled evening activities. Played guitar with other guests in the evening and overall had a fantastic stay.

What a great place! I would definitely stay here again. The hostal is centrally located, five minutes away from the subway and within walking distance of many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Transit is easy and inexpensive, so consider it as an option when visiting Santiago in addition to Uber. I had a sizeable private room with a comfortable bed and a washroom. The service was friendly and I had no problem leaving my luggage before check-in and after check-out. A modest breakfast was provided, though I only took advantage of the coffee and juice. On my first night I was invited to add my name to a sign-up sheet for tasting terremotos, the national drink of Chile. What a fun time! I enjoyed meeting other guests, who were visiting from around the country and across the world. If you happen to be staying on a Sunday, try checking out the changing of the guard in the morning at the Plaza de la Constitución (in front of the presidential palace, La Moneda); on your way back to the hotel, walk through the Lastarria neighbourhood and catch the open-air arts market.

When I first arrived, Scarlett was at the front desk. She was kind and very helpful. She went out of her way to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of her. Ivan, Juan, and Guillermo also work at the front desk. In their presence, one always feels welcome. A few times a week Juan would play his guitar and sing, and what a powerful voice he has. I could listen to him all day. Acoustic music and singing have a way of opening hearts. The room feels alive and people feel more connected with each other. One day when I was sitting in the common area, the atmosphere was casual and relaxing. And then Juan shows up with his guitar and begins to play and sing. The room fills with sound, and everyone is spellbound and fully immersed in the powerful emotions being expressed. After he finishes, people are suddenly open and friendly and talking with one another. The vibe in the room is completely transformed, alive and social. The free breakfast provided every morning was excellent, a few different cereals and milk, and maybe some fruit and boiled eggs. They also have fresh bread that arrives every morning, and they have these spreads, jams and creamy chocolate that are so delicious. It's a simple breakfast with quality ingredients. There is a category of hostel that just stands out among the rest. You know, the ones where you feel like you get to know the staff and guests, and that you've made new lifelong friends. Well, this is one of those hostels. In order for a hostel to stand out among the best in the world, it must have excellent management. I give credit to the owner and the management. I never met the owner, but hostels like this just don't appear out of nothing. This owner must have a gift. To create hostels with such a welcoming atmosphere is a priceless gift to all those travelers in the world who love experiencing new cultures and making new friends along the way. I highly recommend this smaller, but cozier hostel to anyone who wants to relax in a welcoming environment, meet new people, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
