My stay at Hotel Montes in Santiago de Compostela was far from satisfactory. The rooms lacked windows and air conditioning, creating a stuffy and uncomfortable atmosphere. The absence of proper ventilation made the rooms excessively hot, and the persistent running toilet only added to the discomfort. Despite our request to change rooms, the hotel staff declined our request, leaving us stuck in these unsuitable conditions. What was particularly disheartening was the price we paid for these subpar accommodations. The rooms were exorbitantly priced for the amenities provided, which were clearly insufficient. Even when we expressed our readiness to cancel our reservation and seek alternative lodging, the hotel was unyielding and refused to waive the cancellation fees. Adding to our frustration was the hotel's claim that all relevant information was available on ***********. It was perplexing to see beautiful pictures on the booking platform displaying rooms with large windows, which starkly contrasted with the reality of our windowless situation. This misrepresentation only deepened our disappointment and highlighted the gap between our expectations and the actual experience. It's important to note that while the staff members were polite and courteous, their efforts were overshadowed by the shortcomings of the accommodations. Overall, my stay at Hotel Montes was marred by discomfort, misrepresentation, and an unwillingness to address our concerns effectively.
