Super 8 by Wyndham Santee

I called customer service and the lady was very patient and very helpful in finding a motel that was along my route even though I could not give her a zip code and one that would let me check in at typical check out time (around 7 am) and check out in the evening. The room was clean, smelled fine (neutral, no musty or smoke smell) well furnished and comfortable, and offered a free breakfast at a reasonable price even with a $25 fee for early check-in. The folks at the front desk were also friendly and nice. Thank you Super 8 people !!! I'll definitely look for Super 8 motels the next time I travel!

Wow! Long trip for couple in our 70’s. We wanted a king bed with a decent sitting area to rest in for the evening. I’m a Wyndham member so booked this room because it had a couch and chair (from the pictures). It was a smoking room but, as former smokers that didn’t really bother me as MOST places can cover the smell pretty well. The smell was so bad it seemed as though they just had a conference of 10 people, all smokers, in the room just before we entered. The bathroom sink will not drain unless you flush the toilet, and the covers on the bed had burn holes all over them! We travel from Massachusetts to Florida every fall and spring, and I will definitely not be staying at this place again.

Just filthy! Dead bug in the drawer, Goodwill wouldn’t take the disgusting stained furniture, burn holes in bedding (only a smoking room was available), ashes on chair from last guest. Floors dirty, dirt in all the corners. Going home to shower!

The ‘Non-Smoking’ room reeked of smoked, the sink drained incredibly slow, had gnats coming out of it by the last day and by the end of my stay, didn’t drain at all and the toilet wouldn’t flush either. Floor was dirty. I got a spider bite sometime in the middle of the night. On the good side, the bed was comfy and the towels were sparkling white! Shower pressure was pretty lame but water was good and hot. Oh, and I have a couple of metal side boxes on my vehicle that thankfully were empty because somebody got into both of them first night there. Desk/Manager/Owner (whoever she was) didn’t really seem to care. After that, husband wouldn’t let me go get ice without him! Too bad really, they have some nice restaurants close by (walking distance) and it was SUPER quiet! Price was good but had to deal with too much stuff. If I have to come back to this area again I would stay again if I had to, but I would look somewhere else first. If they would attend to the minor stuff it would be a nice place to stay.

The room was attractive. The TV was good. The bathtub was better than usual . But there was a bad leak under the sink. I reported it upon checkout. The bed was about 4 feet above the ground. And the advertised breakfast was ridiculous... toast, a waffle maker, and a little coffee.

Check-in was efficient and room was very clean. Lady at the check-in desk recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. We would recommend this Super 8 by Wyndham Santee to anyone travelling through the state of South Carolina.

This was the only option we could find in Santee at 10 pm. It was the 5th hotel we had tried. We had a coupon from the coupon book we picked up and the deal was $54.99 for a long or 2 queens. My husband goes in and apparently they are “out” of those rooms so it’s interesting how we ended up in a room with 2 queens…anyways the pillows and beds felt nice but everything else was just ok. Microwave was super old, refrigerator needed de icing, there were stains on the box spring, and the bathroom needs an upgrade bc stuff looked broken. We wanted to get some breakfast the next morning and it said they offer a continental breakfast, no true. What they offer was 2 cereals and 2 small honey buns. Pretty disappointed we got charged $112 for that when it wasn’t worth that much. Wish they would have honored our coupon. If there is no other hotel choice then stay here.

A/C Broken & Moldy, Shower Head detached from the wall, Very Dirty Shower (possibly feces). Breakfast was lacking sooo much (No juice, one loaf of bread, no utensils). Check out took forever, couldn't find staff.
