My boyfriend and I just spent a week at Mangia’s and we had a wonderful time! The hotel and beach are just stunning, and we loved taking the little train to the beach each day! It reminds me of the Caribbean! We stayed in room 2114 which was right at the top and we had such a great view. The room was lovely all brand new and always clean. Breakfast was excellent, good coffee and a lovely selection of pastries, cereals, fruit and cooked options. Dinner was also very good and eating outside on the lovely terrace overlooking the beach as the sun goes down is wonderful. I don’t understand all the bad reviews for this place as it’s a wonderful hotel. We got lucky enough to see a few wild boar one evening too! The pink silk trees dotted all around are beautiful!

The facilities are great. Amazing swimming pools that are cleaned everyday, the beach is only a few minutes away with loads of sun beds available. Breakfast is decent.. fruits, yogurts, coffee, eggs, bacon, bread, etc. My only complaint is that they’re clearly understaffed. The housekeeping was almost non-existent.. by day 4 our room wasn’t cleaned once, so we had to raise it with reception.

So disappointed in this hotel no housekeeping our room wasn’t cleaned all week no clean towels or loo rolls bins overflowing!!we were b&b so no food other than the poor choice of breakfast, other restaurants closed due to Bridgestone events, definitely didn’t feel welcome at all .

- no cleaning, you have to ask 5 times if you would like your rooms cleaned (if you are lucky they will do it), ours was only cleaned once in the whole week - we got told you had to pay €5 per beach towel which turned out to not be true as on the one occasion we got our room cleaned they replaced them. - we had no toilet roll for 4 days and had to keep going to reception to get some. - we have had broken glass in our room for 4 days aswell and asked for it to be cleaned 4 times, nobody has come. - on arrival the room was dirty, someone’s razor was in the shower still and a cot was in the room from the guests before and they did not take it away for 5 days. - we also got told different lies about things for example they said rooms get cleaned every 2 days, then another member of staff said everyday and then now apparently they are having issues with their cleaning team. - we also didn’t get served in the italian restaurant, we had to ask for a drink, ask for the menu, ask to order food, then our food didn’t come for an hour so they then told us there was an issue and it didn’t go through, then we waited a further 30 minutes our food was then delivered and our starters were cold. - we had two rooms, one had no bin, no coffe, no water and a dirty room. No one has attended to any of this. - also at check in we arrived at the hotel and got told that we can check in at 16:00, then we got told at 16:00 that check in would be FROM 16:00, we then waited until 19:00pm to go to our rooms . We had been waiting since 13:00pm, so we had to wait 6 hours to be checked into our rooms. The hotel itself is beautiful, However they really need to sort out management and hospitality services. As there seems to be none, if you want help with something you aren’t going to get it.

Had our room cleaned once while we are here no clean bedding or towels bins not emptied at all,staff not helpful they don’t want to know,was just told there having problems with house keeping. Stunning views and place but massively disappointed in this.

Staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. On arrival, we had to self check in. Then after 30 mins, got our keys and a map! Went down to restaurant and found 2 people eating and were denied lunch till 7pm. Got there for 7pm was told 7.30pm. We were told there are biscuits in the lobby. We have a small child. Cleaning staff would regularly get annoyed and announce it when we went to walk to the toilet, when they were mopping. They hated kids playing in the main lounge but their kids area was just a pergola in the heat. Kids entertainment was naff. A disco and whatever. We weren't interested anymore at this point. Food good but found a hair on our last breakfast in one of the pastries, milk runs out and not replaced. All labels in Italian. Hot food is okay, pasta and deserts seems to be the best part. Coffee machines not always working. Water machines working in some places and not others. Some dinners they are overwhelmed and have no tables ready. Then a feeding frenzy follows where you have to eat or there is nothing left. Trash is left outside on the street and cats get into their trash cans and then in the morning have to walk past nappies, sanitary towels, food, cigarette packets, cans. Beach is cleanish. Water is beautiful. Hotel design beautiful and much money put into it. No logic or common sense however. Try another place, with more substance and less trying to be luxurious. Manager said it was teething issues as they just had opened but I think this may be semi true.

I want to start off by saying the hotel and setting are beautiful however this is where the positive news ends. We arrive early on the opening day with positive and excited mind set with our 3 year old little boy. We are told the bar doesnt have any food yet and drinks are limited. The staff can barely speak any English but we put this down to the first day and hoped for improvement. The rest of the holiday the issues remained there was only 1 man Nico who could make a cocktail despite the cocktails being all the menu. My wife had confusion when the staff couldn't make a ice coffee, she spoke to them in English, Spanish and Italian and they didn't know how to make it. The coffee machines at breakfast were regularly broken, the hot section had only a couple of members of staff so there was ques of around 10 people plus every morning and evening to get some eggs. The final nail in this was we decided to eat at the Pizzeria one night. Well there was 50 plus people in the restaurant with 1 man taking orders and 1 man cooking pizza. We had to wait 1 hr for someone to take our order and another hr for the food to arrive. Our 3 year old son was sooo hungry it was embarrassing. This hotel is apparently being taken over by Hilton so the reviews will probably be taken down again but honestly avoid!

No food at all from arrival at 2pm to 7.30pm. Even if you have a small child, no service. No toilet facilities or aides for small kids in the whole of this big resort. Disabled toilet light broken. Staff have no idea about their own work and are just making it up. Lots and lots of staff and management who have no clue and trying to do the best they can.

I have passed by the resort and I noticed there are lots of undergoing works. It seems to be the hotel will be completely new as it's under refurbishment, new rooms, new common areas and new services, looking forward to it! opening in June 2025.
