This hotel was just fabulous! We visited for our honeymoon at the end of June/early July. Staff Staff were unbelievably helpful throughout our stay. We messaged with reception on a number of occasions to book taxis and excursions and they were responsive and super helpful every time. Staff in the restaurants were fabulous too. Of note, the staff on the beach were amazing. Clean pool towels are provided daily as well as reserved beach loungers at no extra cost. Room We had a superior double room in the second floor, with a lovely balcony and sea view. The room had great air conditioning which was needed in the heat! A large shower, fridge, kettle, hairdryer and extra pillows were all provided. The room was cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. Spa We didn’t use the spa but a family member bought us massages, which were lovely. The only slight drawback was the noise of construction on the same floor as the treatment room, but under the circumstances the masseuse did brilliantly. Food The main hotel restaurant was just lovely. The food was amazing and the breakfasts were fabulous. Both had a wide variety of choices. We ate less frequently at the beach house for lunch, but food and service was wonderful when we did. Location The hotel is just 300m away from the town square, and a free shuttle is provided to take you in and out. It also takes you to offsite car parking. The stunning views really make this hotel, but the small town of Castellabate, about 10 minutes away, is well worth a visit too. Overall, this is a lovely hotel. I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel and location to anyone wanting an Italian experience away from the busy Amalfi Coast in the summer.

The Grand Hotel Santa Maria is a real treasure. As soon as you walk in you will feel a sense of cleanliness in a very up to date structure with a devastating view. You get instantly greeted by an experienced staff, Angela who has been working there for 18 years will take care of you and will make you feel right at home, and Paolo will answer all your questions and will give you the best recommendations, everyone is friendly and speaks English very well. The hotel is right on the water with a private beach, a beach bar, and multi-level terraces overlooking the Mediterranean. The hotel is built on steps and each layers has a terrace or a place to hang with a drink looking at the water, the panoramic elevator is a ride to do.The rooms are clean, crisp and very efficient, the beds are comfortable and the linens are soft. We booked suites and we received a complimentary SPA pass which was delightful. The SPA is an oasis., the breakfast is served in their beautiful restaurant and terrace right on the sea. You will love the sunsets here. We will be back next year.

I recommend such incredible location to anyone wishing to relax, but to enjoy part of the Italian culture. The excellent positive and energetic structure and team are placed right on the wonderful beach of Santa Maria di Castellabate and this makes it a dream destination. Rooms with sea view, breakfast, services and the restaurants inside the GHSM and near by just a little walk away complete it like no other spots along the coast. Our stay at the hotel has been one of the most pleasant experiences in all our holidays life! From the very first step till the last day, we have been literally pampered by hotel personnel! The hotel is just newly renovated and every single detail has been curated with great attention to make your stay the most comfortable. Every room has an amazing view on the sea side. There is a private beach with amazing sand and crystal clear water. Breakfast is absolute pleasure, with plenty of local delicacies both salty and sweet pastries. The restaurant could be a michelin starred one, with same level of preparation and top quality. The spa experience is unbelievable, regenerating one ! We feel so grateful for the level of service and kindness of all personnel! We hope to come back soon to this little gem paradise ❤️

Great on the beach location, and close to town. Nice sea views from the hotel room balcon. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Exceptional breakfast, a lot of variety, and very tasty . Excellent amenities including use of the beach loungers and umbrellas, shuttle rides into town, and many more..
