Melia Ibiza - Adults Only

I booked 4 nights at the Melia to chill and relax. Prior to arrival i emailed and asked if the Junior Suites (only a small price to upgrade when booking hence choosing this category) were all on higher floors but got no response to this question, a bland 'your requests have been noted' even though I did not make a request was emailed back! On checking in late evening I queried the allocated room number starting with a zero and was told it wasn't ground floor but one and half up. Mmm, it was on the first floor up 9 steps with no lift access. I wasn't asked if I was ok with no lift access. The room was lovely, modern style, well equipped, Rituals toiletries, beautiful bedlinen. I had views of sunrise which were stunning. The bed was unfortunately like sleeping on concrete but after speaking to reception a mattress topper was added which improved the comfort. There were no bathrobes/slippers in the room which I thought was just an oversight. Again I spoke to reception and they said you had to request them?? Bizarre as Jet2 advertise the room as having bathrobe and slippers. It was advertised as a Junior Suite, these should have been placed in the room prior to arrival in my opinion. Whilst there is a double locking system on the bedroom doors there is no security chain or peep hole. The location of the hotel is excellent, around 10/15 minutes walk to the main area in Santa Eulalia. Much improvement could be made around the food offering. All quite basic and limited. Even the croissants at breakfast didn't feel fresh. Only fruit juice available was orange. In the evening I noticed there was no ice cream choice (basic) and when I asked I was told that strawberry and chocolate were available. Ok could I have that please. My request arrived and I didn't recognise the chocolate serving. The taste was very unusual and not recognisable. I enquired with staff and was told there was no chocolate so they gave me this which I was told was coffee and something else.....I found this unacceptable. It was put in front of me with no communication or explanation and not what I ordered. I asked to speak to the manager but their apologies and goodwill gesture of refunding my bottle of water was conveyed to me by the lovely staff member. On more than one occasion there was only one waiting member of staff who worked constantly clearing tables, fixing the broken coffee machine etc. I had two wonderful treatments at the Thai Spa within the hotel. Both were given to me by Marlin who was excellent. The public areas are well kept and I loved the modern style of the hotel (perhaps with the exception of the bright yellow sculpture in reception but that's personal choice). In summary I hope Melia improve this hotel, it has a fab location, wonderful staff, excellent rooms, just some areas needing attention and improved communication.

Good but not as good as before. We headed out for a couple of days to the white isles for some sun. We picked this hotel as we’d been twice before and wanted a relaxing break. To be fair we got that. We just didn’t feel it was as good as the two previous visits. It has changed to a melia hotel and before it was the Sol Beach House and it definitely had that beach house vibe previously. The soul seemed to have gone. Don’t get me wrong it was clean and tidy and ticked all the boxes. Staff didn’t seem overly pleasant and it just seems a bit stuffy. Drink service seemed slow and we ended up going and getting drinks a few times. I think they have split it into 2 different hotels and you can’t use the roof top pool and bar even though when I sneaked up there it wasn’t busy at all. Breakfast had a good selection but hot food items were cold, one morning they had a singer on in the garden and I thought that was a really good touch. It’s still a great hotel and I would recommend it but it’s just not as good as it was.

I shall start strong, absolutely incredible hotel pulling up and parking to be welcomed by a highly enthusiastic individual by the name on of Alex who made us feel like royalty when we arrived to then find out we had “the Level” pass which only heightened is enthusiasm even more so he helped us with our bags and guided us to check in, from the get go the atmosphere was very calming and luxurious. To the room where we were stunned at the view we had with the sea out our disposal, once settled we then set our goals on a wander to the all day drinks and snatch which were lovely, beer, fruit,wine meze style, to follow we wandered around to view the gym which is hidden away that has basic resistance machines and bike machine but no treadmill unfortunately (this means very hot running outside). An incredible atmosphere throughout. Now for what I thought to be the main event. The evening meal: terrible from everything beforehand how could it be our hearts sunk at not even basic foods it began with wandering in and not knowing the system, no welcoming and what looked like 2 headless staff running around attending to the diners all food very bland and very very meh, considering the rest of the hotel the dinner has really let the side down we had a plate each of food to still not being asked what to drink so we finished our food to go back to the level side to get drinks there, it wasn’t until we were leaving after eating we were asked what to drink. I hope this reached the owner and this is taken on as if it were for the evening dining experiences to be sorted this really is a beautiful high end place to stay With perfect atmosphere and facilities the evening meal situation needs to be actioned we stayed in another hotel 20 minutes away and the food was incredible all fresh med vegetables and endless fish etc Would happily come back if the evening meal has been sorted. The breakfast saved the first night evening meal as there was more than enough variety to choose from and fresh but could this be as we were there at exact start of service ?

Absolutely stunning holiday i dont know where to begin. The hotel is fabulous as is the location , the staff are very attentive and can not do enough for you . The room we booked was stunning as was the view . We also booked the level which was very relaxing although we only used it twice as we like to explore the other beaches. Breakfast was included and lovely self service lots of choices perfect poached eggs i dont know how they did them . Drinks and snacks available all day and a nice touch was tapas between 5-6 every evening. The location of this hotel is perfect very quiet and peaceful i liked the lack of entertainment as i went there to chill. A special mention to all the staff and cleaners who work round the clock to cater for all your needs they did a marvellous job. A special special mention to Galy our room cleaner who did a wonderful job with our room the special touches did not go unnoticed. My only gripe was mentioned in another post , the sunbed hoarders, it didnt bother me too much as we went to beaches ,but it is not the fault of the hotel its the ignorance and selfishness of my fellow holidaymakers ..... you know who you are. We will definitely be back soon as it was one of our top three holidays ever. Thank you Melia xx

We stayed in a Level superior room for a week in July. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 12 years and have seen many changes, we think this was the best experience so far. We prefer the rooms in the newer section of the hotel due to their larger size, walk in shower, comfortable super-king bed, balcony with day bed and beautiful views - this was our reason for wanting the room, we were not sure about the ‘Level’ experience and the extra costs for it but went for it and were so glad we did. We were warmly welcomed and our luggage taken to our room ( which was the same specification as previous years), we were lucky to have a corner room so the view was even better. The Level facilities were wonderful, the new lounge and dining area is beautiful, so peaceful, and a nice place to come to and enjoy a cool drink away from the heat around the pool. It was a bonus at breakfast to have options that were cooked to order and great coffee. Until 11 pm there were all drinks available as well as a range of snacks. Tapas and cocktails 5-6 pm was brilliant, there was always something to enjoy. We like to visit the town in the evenings for drinks and meals and do not expect entertainment at the hotel, we appreciate the quiet atmosphere, so it is perfect for our needs. We used the larger ground level pool mainly, there were many new wooden beds as well as the original ones, there were plenty to go round and did not see beds being reserved as in previous years. There is piped music played all day, perhaps when there is a DJ set or musician playing it could be turned down so you can hear the live music? We found staff in every area of the hotel to be friendly, helpful and professional, we were asked about our experience a few times and anything that might be improved. The only thing we might suggest is that there could be at least 1 English speaking channel on the room tv - all other nationalities seem to be catered for? We will be back in the Level next year, thank you!

The hotel has two sections, the ‘Level’ building and the non-Level building. Entrance to Level section is on the left before the main hotel reception. We booked a Level suite sea view and were upgrade to a Master Suite Sea view which was in the non-Level part, it was a larger room than we paid for so we were happy. The room was clean and had all expected amenities. The room was cleaned and linen changed everyday. The turndown service included water. Furniture on balconies is old but functional. Cracking view! The hotel seemed very quiet at night and possibly as there was very limited entertainment and the Marina and Bars are 10 minute walk. The roof top restaurant cannot be used for just drinks in the evening, we were told this by the staff. The Level area has a dedicated breakfast area and food was average. Service very slow for the coffee and cooked orders. The area was new and a fantastic space. During the day you got free drinks and snacks with a happy hour 5-6 where they put out tapas and spirits although a lack of mixers made cocktails non-existent. The roof top pool area is fantastic. Lovely bar, with one staff so drink service can be slow. There were always beds available and the view was amazing. It is strictly open 11-7. It was closed for a whole day however we were credited for this, only as we asked not automatically. The main pool area was good and pool a good size. Drinks service here was better as more staff. We didn’t have any food apart from breakfast so cannot comment. In the evening there is not much entertainment and hotel was pretty much deserted. Generally, lovely hotel during the day but spend your time and money at the Marina in the evenings.

We have stayed here previously but it has this year 2024 just been refurbished. We stayed at 'The Level' high end side of this hotel. The upgrade is in my opinion well worth the little extra. You get of course a better room but other 'add ons' include the rooftop terrace and pool with bar and snacks within many loungers. Breakfast in the 'Level' area at ground level, which has been carefully decorated. Having both inside and outside comfortable seating. Soft drinks all day as well as snacks (fruit, pastries, wine and coffee) with very friendly and professional staff always offwrong to look after you. There is also a Tapas and drinks hour each day which is perfect after the pool! The hotel is run in a calm and friendly manor which we really enjoyed. Soft relaxing xhilled music filling the areas beautifully. We will certainly book this newly refurbished hotel again. Excellent!

Clean, classy, classically Iberian and cool. Soft Balearic tunes are always on, creating a classy holiday vibe at all times. Service was quick friendly and efficient. Breakfast was incredible. The best variety or highest quality ingredients. My only gripe was the standard of coffee (from a machine) in comparison to everything else was out of place. Rooms were clean, not huge, but fine for a couple, and we spent hardly anytime in there owing to the rest of the hotel being so nice. Light and flowing were the best way I can describe it. The whole thing is located about 10 m from the sea, and we even saw dolphins at breakfast one day. Poolside service was excellent with a full drinks menu and limited food access throughout the day. Easy walk into town for shops and restaurants. Adults only mean it is always quiet and very relaxing. We were only there for 3 days but felt like a week. Can’t recommend it enough. We will be going back.
