Hipotels Said

We have just returned from a relaxing stay at Hipotel Said. We were greeted by the hotel manager who works the night shift! He greeted us with smiles and laughter even with it being 1am in the morning. The pool area is lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds, so there was no need to rush down early to get one. We had our rooms cleaned beautifully every day. The bar staff were very attentive and made the best iced coffees and cocktails! A special thanks to Juan Pablo for always making sure we were topped up with drinks. The entertainment guy (sorry didn’t catch his name) effortlessly switched between Spanish, German, and English and we joined in with his aqua gym classes which were so much fun and hilarious. The food was lovely, particularly Gala night on a Thursday evening when you are greeted with canapés and glasses of fizz. The beach is a 2 minute walk away with lots of bars and restaurants and the Havana nightclub is just down the road. The hotel is in a great location! Thank you for making us have such a wonderful holiday. We will definitely be returning !

We booked the Hotel Said for a 4 night break during UK half term. First impression of the hotel was it was very clean & well presented & the staff on reception were very friendly. They gave us our all inclusive wristbands quickly (unfortunately gave our 18 year old a child one which led to many giggles about his baby face!) and directed us to where we could find some food as we had just missed lunch. The offerings in the snack bar weren’t fantastic, ham & cheese sandwich or tuna sandwich, cakes & fruit but we made do until dinner. Our room 328 was lovely and modern with a fabulous walk in shower and was also very clean. Unfortunately the view from the balcony was the roof and air conditioning unit of Cala Millor’s largest nightclub & beer garden. We had booked a street view room but didn’t expect that. When it came to sleep we were kept awake all night by the bass which eventually ended at 6am. Next morning we spoke to reception and were offered a change of room for 30 Euro to a pool view. This room (314) was MUCH quieter despite being by the lift & stairs. Unfortunately the bathroom has not been updated in the pool view rooms so we paid extra for worse facilities but the shower over the bath was ok & sleep is precious! The change of room & extra charge (& the rain) was the only downside to this break though, food in the restaurant was good (even the picky eater found plenty every meal) the staff couldn’t do enough for you & were always busy. The Hotel is well placed for shops, restaurants and the beach if you want to get out & about & the resort still had plenty of people around even at the end of October. In hindsight if we had booked a pool view room at the start we would have had a 5 star break!

This hotel is a home away from home, even if it's multicultural. The staff and the guests are very friendly. The staff are thorough. The hotel is clean, close to the beach and other stores. There are many activities and entertainment around the hotel if you don't want to get out of the hotel. However since it's close to the night club your night might be distracted with noise . I recommend earplugs other than that. I give this hotel a 5 🌟
