Protur Biomar Sensatori

Having stayed in several AI hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean, it’s always difficult to match the standards you get in those hotels in Europe, especially for similar cost, so I can be hard to please! But, given that I now have a 1 year old, I’m trying to find a similar holiday with a much shorter flight time. I’ve stayed in a few 5 star AI’s in Spain and Greece over the years and never been impressed, particularly with the cheap food and alcohol they try to push on guests in the AI package. For once, I have actually been quite pleased with the offering here at Sensatori Biomar and would return again. Most things I would rate as really good, there were some things that could be improved but they weren’t major things and overall the positives more than outweighed any negatives. Resort is very clean, modern and well kept. We stayed for a week and we had no sickness or diarrhea, which I had been worried about given the reviews I had read a few weeks before. Pools were all very clean and well kept however, the toilets at the pools are not well signposted at all. In fact we had to ask and only found where they were on day 3. When we did go in them they were empty. Considering the amount of people in the pools and the fact they are drinking several drinks from a swim up bar and not many seem to know where the toilets are due to lack of signage - you can guess where they are all relieving their bladders! I know chlorine kills it somewhat but still it’s just a bit nasty to be swimming in all that wee, especially in a 5 star resort. But generally the resort is very well kept. The rooms are clean, aircon works well and they have wooden floors instead of tiles which is good and more safe if you have a small baby. I don’t know if this applies to all rooms but we had twin beds pushed together rather than a double which was slightly annoying! The cupboards and drawers in the living room had push mechanisms to open them rather than handles which again is good for small babies to stop them opening them! The room had a kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron. The iron wasn’t the best though and if I came again I would bring my own. The shower was powerful which was good and the room had a nice deep bath. The sinks would have been fine apart from I had to wash the baby’s bottles in them as there was nowhere else in the hotel to wash bottles. They would not hold water in them even when the plug was down therefore I had to keep the water running the whole time to replace the water that was being lost down the plughole whilst washing! This was a bit annoying as I’d have liked to leave them to soak for a while but couldn’t. The TV seemed to have many channels but they were not accessible and the only ones that were, were a few German ones. This wasn’t a major issue for us as we don’t go on holiday to watch TV, but could be for some. We had a swim up room in the family section. The pool was very pretty and clean but is shared with the neighbouring apartment. There are

An absolutely awful experience, I wish we had never visited this hotel. The family part of this hotel was filthy. The pool areas were not cleaned during our stay and there were ants crawling on the floor where drinks had previously been spilt. We witnessed bar staff throwing remnant's of drinks, with fruit slices in them into the nearby bushes. B block was filthy with bird faeces on the communal hall areas remaining throughout our time here. Our first room smelt like sewage and there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom. It took a while to get this sorted and another room. The inter-joining room door was left unlocked and allowed guests next door access to our room. On day 3 our daughter got food poisoning/picked something up from the hotel and she has never been so poorly in her life. We ended up in hospital twice during our week's stay and her illness continued long after we returned. TUI are hiding the issues with this hotel and we have yet to have our complaint resolved (Feb 2025). We witnessed another child vomiting outside of our block and it is clear that this hotel needed a deep clean! I am shocked that TUI were aware of the illness spreading around the hotel and that it was clearly still affecting guests in August. I am disgusted by the Customer Service at TUI. TUI's Complaints and Legal Department make it extremely hard to contact anyone and are doing their best to deny responsibility for the issues at this hotel and the illness that was clearly spreading around making their guests extremely ill.

My husband and I stayed Protur Biomar as a package deal with TUI, we opted to book a taxi from the airport to the hotel & back again at the end of the holiday. We had read that the transfer bus can take up to 2 hours and didn't fancy it after an early flight. Taxi service was excellent (also booked through TUI) both drivers were kind, friendly and crucially on time. At Palma airport, the taxi transfer is out of the baggage doors, to the right and quite far along with the office on the right, it's not very easy to find. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the adults only section and although we arrived earlier than check in, our room was ready and we were able to check in. The room was always spotless and the daily refill of the mini bar was a great touch and very welcome after being in the sun for the day. The food was excellent, there was such a huge selection of fresh, nutritious and delicious food at every meal, rather than the standard mountains of beige. All the hotel staff were chatty, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to couples and families and would definitely return.

Went with my mum for 3 nights , adults only swim up , was lovely relaxing quiet food was delicious , very clean , staff friendly , mini bar refilled everyday ( all non alcohol) Booked to go back , family side swim up looking forward to showing my family

Hotel was clean. Pools were a great retreat to cool off. Tui staff were friendly and engaging. Food was delicious with a great selection. I don’t think you need the a la carts. The nights we did use them we were wondering what we missed out on in the main kitchen. Theas coffee shop is a great touch. Entertainment was ok. Started a bit late but it was still an amazing holiday. We would definitely go back. My 6 year old loved it too

We stayed in one of the swim up rooms which was lovely but really would not stay in again. The rooms themselves are so lovely and spacious and clean. The food while there was something there for everyone the small things missing were the likes of gravies or sauces each evening. My husbands a very fussy eater so the likes of this would of been ideal. The main let down for this beautiful resort though is the entertainment. Please try work on this especially in the adults only part as it was not great. But overall i loved it, we will be back again, and the staff were all amazing. Thank you guys
