Las Magnolias Hotel Boutique

Pareciera un hostal, pero brindan servicio de lavandería, tienen piscina muy limpia, 2 salas de estar, jardínes y varias mesas para comer al aire libre o en terrazas techadas. Las instalaciones están bien, no son lujosas pero sí comodas. Mi esposa y yo nos quedamos en la habitación 502 y no tenia smart tv, solo led; tiene una refrigeradora para bebidas y cosas pequeñas, un closet y una pequeña mesa de vidrio con lámpara para estudiar o trabajar. En general, la relación precio calidad me pareció buena. Tuve una grata experiencia. El lugar es muy tranquilo y el desayuno es bieno también (va incluido en el precio).

It was really 2.5 stars, so I rounded up. First off I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and there was no one on staff. The security guard would not let me in. After some cajoling the security guard found a list of guests and I showed him my name and then he found a key for me. The room is quite simple - it was clean - but in need of a refresh. At breakfast there was one server and it took her over 20 minutes to even come and take my order - she was working hard and I felt bad for her. The food was slow to come from the kitchen. The price is great compared to American hotels, it is the average price for nicer hotels in the area. This is not a place I would return to.

Great place to stay in a nice part of San Salvador. The included breakfasts were very good, enjoyed eating in the beautiful courtyard. My flight arrived at 1 in the morning and I really appreciated the hotel arranged taxi service for me and let me check in at such an odd hour. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was dark, beds are hard cheap mattress, bedding and towels are old . The worse experience is no hot water at all. The reception was closed when I arrived. The hotel is in excellent location. Not far from Barcelo hotel that is 4 star or 5 , way better and it’s same price

The place is very small (it's a former family house). They promote a gym and it's only a couple of broken old machines inside a shed. Their food didn't look fresh and the portion were single bite size. I requested to use the laundry and the lady in the reception desk told me, "We don't open the laundry on Saturdays, if you need a laundry mat just google it". When I left to look for a laundry mat (Which was 10 miles away) I heard the laundry machines running from the parking lot. I went back inside and asked the receptionist why she told me their laundry room was closed when I could hear the machines running? She said, "I have someone doing the room blankets today because we were short yesterday". There were sink bugs crawling the wall during the night in the room and I killed several of them. I was planning to stay two nights but I returned my key the following morning and did not come back even though I have already paid for two nights. I don't recommend this hotel to nobody. Their rate is very similar to the Barcelo down the street and their service sucks.

This is a great hotel located in a very nice location right next to a couple of the major shopping malls in San Salvador. The area is super safe, and the hotel itself has security. The rooms are comfortable and super clean. The staff are super nice as well. I will recommend to anyone visiting San Salvador.

The staff was AMAZING, so helpful, so welcoming and just most kind!! Albita helped secure tours, since my tour operators cancelled on me having just arrived to the country. The restaurant is in a fantastic setting. The breakfast was like a home cooked meal. The hotel has a restaurant, Relajo which serviced the hotel. I was disappointed with my room. It was big, but it's definitely in need of a face lift. One of the floor tiles was loose and the bed spreads looked dingy and used. The bathroom, also huge but again, it can use an update. The location is safe and excellent to walk to dining, nightlife and shopping. Bambu shopping center was across the street, it was modern, clean with an overall enjoyable experience.

My friend and I stayed here on two separate occasions: for one night during the week, and then one night on the following Saturday. PROS: - Super safe neighborhood in an excellent location with more food options and shopping than you could ever possibly imagine in any westernized city! - Pleasant staff (when you can find them) - Cute courtyard - Large clean rooms on both of our stays, but the fridge wouldn’t plug in on our first stay … very impressed that staff were super quick to come to the rescue and moved furniture around to make it work! - Large bathroom in our first room (much smaller in our second), though the water in the shower was only tepid - Two huge double beds (first room), a massive king and a small twin (second room) - Beds were sooooo comfortable and the sheets soooo soft — we didn’t want to get up! - Breakfast (which we had on our second stay only) was very good! CONS: - Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (after 2pm) for the first stay, though we had been told check-in was at 1pm - There’s a bar next door which was very loud at times - On both stays, our room was right next to the hotel courtyard — and that was loud too, with other guests coming and going at all hours - WiFi was spotty — it kept coming and going - Reception is not 24/7 — we left at 6.30am after the first stay and the reception was dark and all locked up … when we came back the second time, the security guard was the one who had to check us in (and it was only 6pm) as no other staff were around

Las Magnolias is past its prime but offers large, clean rooms at a very reasonable price. Its location, in the center of the Zona Rosa across the street from the Bambu City Center mall, is unbeatable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was modest but plentiful.
