Studio with Modern Amenities, Walk-in Shower, Jacuzzi, Beach, and Pool,

A beautiful and discreet location that was perfect for our weekend getaway to Puerto Rico. Located minutes from the historical sites of San Juan. While we were not able to participate in all of them, there were plenty of activities and fun to be had for all.

We stayed here after a cruise for the weekend. For us it was a mixed experience. First the good. The owner and the staff are super friendly. The location of the hotel is an a gated community which really felt extra secure. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. For the stuff we didn’t care so much for: the place feels very much like a make shift place and honestly feels a bit run down. The breakfast/ brunch was underwhelming (although prepared with love) and served on a bunch of plastic dishes that felt a collection of hand me downs. We skipped that for our second day. The room was not cleaned on Saturday - we just got fresh towels but when we got back from our daily excursion into the city the bed was not made and we just found the towels. Again we feel a bit bad to leave this mixed review. For the price we paid we could have definitely stayed in a nicer place. But closing again on a high note: the staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. It was just not what we expected otherwise.

Stayed 5 nights in this exceptional place. Rob (owner) made me feel at ease for giving a tour on my check - in day. It was informational as he explained to me the san juan area and what things and places i can explore. It was my first time to do solo travel in a caribbean area and this place makes my stay more feel like safe and comfortable. Issy and thig make sure that we have everything we need. Kevin(chef) made a stunning home-cooked brunch on weekend and his hummus is a must try. I stayed in twin room, it was comfortable and budget friendly. If you are lucky to find availability, explore their fabulous rooms because they have different themes which is co cool and it is really a massive room. I met a lot of awesome and beautiful people along the way because of this place. Their BBQ Saturday party is a must try cuz it was an awesome experience. Dont forget to enjoy and relax by the pool and soaked yourself with other guys in their massive jacuzzi. Overall, i cant thank enough Rob and His husband for letting me stay in the wonderful place. This place is worth your money! You wont regret booking this place! Dont forget to book a massage with jonathan️‍

This place really was everything I had hoped for! Staff was helpful and knowledgeable anytime I had questions. Location is just outside old San Juan and just a block away from the water! Definitely a great place to meet other solo travelers.This was my first time to San Juan but I will probably only now stay at Coqui Del Mar! The pool and jacuzzi was so refreshing and relaxing lounging out in the sun. Can’t wait to stay here again! I rented a car but I would say unless you’re traveling to other parts of the island it’s not really necessary. Uber works pretty well.

I loved my short stay at Coquí del Mar. the staff were so helpful. I thought I would venture out but ended up spend g most of my time in the property chatting with new friends in the pool. The brunch was just incredible and the Saturday afternoon barbecue food was delicious. Tried some local produce like malanga, yautia and quenepa. The purple room was basic, but comfortable, perfect for my short stay. I might try a larger room in my next visit, which will be longer than just a weekend. Clothing optional pool area but no pressure. Plenty of guests kept their suits on. So if that’s a concern, it needn’t be.

Incredible hospitality and felt like home. Close to the beach for easy sunrise and sunset walks. Easy access to old San Juan, offers for tours exploring the rain forest and remote areas, massages, an overall warm and welcoming vacation!
