Fattoria Abbazia Monte Oliveto

Our visit to San Gimignano was nothing short of incredible, and this experience truly made it unforgettable. The views of the medieval town and rolling Tuscan hills were absolutely stunning — it felt like stepping into a postcard! Every moment spent gazing at the landscape was pure magic. The wine tasting was another highlight. Each wine we sampled was a delight, from crisp whites to bold reds, showcasing the region’s finest. The sommelier was knowledgeable and passionate, guiding us through the process with great detail, which enhanced the experience. What really stood out, though, was the staff’s exceptional service. We encountered a few minor challenges during our visit, but the team was quick to assist, always with a smile and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. If you’re in the San Gimignano area, don’t miss this spot! It was the perfect combination of breathtaking views, delicious wines, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The two days it was hot/sunny we loved sitting by the pool, it was well maintained and clean, with parasols for every two sun beds. There is a garden area between the apartment building and the pool which was lovely to sit on one of the patio tables and enjoy the incredible views - to put how amazing it is in perspective- there were countless drivers stopping on the road adjacent to the property to admire the view/take photos! The apartment was basic but fine. The AC was making some very questionable noises so we didn’t feel comfortable having this on overnight. The bathroom was a little dark and dingy and the shower, like most places we stayed at on our trip, was tiny and claustrophobic with a shower head that kept falling down. The central area of San Gimignano is about 10-15 mins walk which we did every evening to get dinner in one of the restaurants. The Coop is 10 mins walk and we got our breakfast and bakery lunch from there. This was a great base for us as we travelled by public transport. You can get the train from Florence into Poggibonsi and then the 130 bus outside the station into San G about 10 mins walk from the property, and then the 131 back to poggibonsi. You can buy bus tickets from the machine at the station bus stop (I think about €3). Don’t forget to scan the back to validate when boarding the bus!

Un posto pieno di carattere in un luogo incantevole sicuramente bello in ogni stagione. In estate c’è una bella piscina con panorama da sfruttare. Ringraziamo lo staff dell’accoglienza e della gentilezza con cui ci hanno trattati. Super consigliato!
