We loved our week-long stay at Hotel Rosenvilla! Even before we arrived, the communication with the hotel was great—they reached out several times with useful information, including a list of options for New Year’s Eve since most hotels and restaurants require advance booking. They helped us book a nearby option that was so fun and had a great view of the fireworks at midnight. On the first morning after we arrived, my son texted me from the breakfast room saying “The breakfast is spectacular!” Every single person who worked there was so nice and so helpful, but a special shout out to Kenzo at the front desk. He was very professional, but also a lot of fun to talk to. He helped us with several nearby restaurant recommendations—was nice to have these alternatives in addition to the options in the old town. The rooms were very comfortable and well-equipped but were about to go under renovation as we left—so I expect they will be even nicer when that is complete. We’ll definitely come back and stay again!

I spent two nights at this charming hotel in April 2024. It was my second visit to Salzburg in 16 years, and I decided to return to the Rosenvilla Hotel, where I stayed previously. They have done some upgrades and renovations to the decor and furniture since my last visit, and I was pleased to see they are now using solar power to be more environmentally friendly. However, what impressed me the most was the continued excellent service. The staff were all very attentive and genuinely focused on making my stay in Salzburg as enjoyable as possible. One highlight of my stay was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel—it was the best breakfast I had during my trip. I even requested to stay in the same single room I had enjoyed during my visit in the summer of 2007, and the staff kindly accommodated my request, which made me very happy. This is my favourite hotel of this trip and I will definitely come back to this hotel again whenever I'm back to Salzburg.

Located about 20 minutes walk from Old Town, Rosenvilla benefits from free parking and not having to navigate the city traffic. Staff were friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. We didn’t realise at the time of booking, but Rosenvilla is part of the same group as Hotel Rathaus in Vienna which we stayed at several years ago. Both hotels have a lovely boutique feel to them. Our room on the second room was a ‘Comfort’ class room which was well laid out and had wireless phone chargers in the bedside table - a nice feature! Being on the upper floor it did mean we needed to remember to duck our heads when getting in/out of bed as the ceiling followed the roofline. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel (instead we went to a local bakery around 10 mins walk away), so can’t comment on that. I did pop my head into the restaurant in the morning and it looked like a nice setup though. Definitely recommend Hotel Rosenvilla if you’re visiting Salzburg. It’s far enough out of town to be quiet at night and close enough to walk (or get bus number 7) into the city to see the sights and explore.

What a great little hotel—friendly, immaculate and excellent value. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. A desk clerk personally supervised the parking of car in a tight space, then whisked away our laundry, which had failed to dry in the subpar laundry at a previous hotel (he returned it right on schedule, neatly folded). Our ground-floor room was thoughtfully laid out, with more than ample storage space and night lighting. (Tip: There’s no elevator, so request the ground floor if stairs will be a problem.) The hotel’s location in an attractive residential neighborhood offers plenty of recreational walking nearby. You can walk to the Old Town in half an hour. And especially if you’re driving, you may be glad you’re not staying in the crowded center of things, where hotel-friendly parking can be hard to find in a warren of narrow streets. Don’t miss the Rosenvilla’s breakfast buffet. There’s a surcharge but it’s top quality and sets yoy up for the day.

Great hotel. All nice new and tidy clean. Location is nice and there is parking. Good if you plan to go south to the mountains. Also nice park near by if you jog in the morning. We also enjoyed the nearby local restaurant. The service at the desk was excellent.

The staff were very helpful. Parking was easy and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We walked to the central city from the hotel - a bit of a hike but doable in good weather. We would recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Rosenvilla for 1 night in June 2023. Our first impression was that this was a very welcoming place. The staff were friendly and helpful getting us settled. They also had great ideas of how to best spend our time in Salzburg. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The terrace was the best place to relax after a day of touring. The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was well equipped. The hotel is a close walk to the center of town, but set in a quiet residential area. Best of both worlds. The breakfast was an excellent selection of local and traditional favorites, with the option of having eggs made fresh for you. My only regret was not staying longer.
