Travelling as a family with an 11 and 15 year old, we decided something bigger than a hotel room would be necessary. Our one bedroom apartment was perfect, the kids had the two single beds in the bedroom and we had the sofa bed (which isn't a double next to each other, it's one on the top, one on the pull out. I thought this could bother me, but it didn't as both were comfy). We were given one of the refurbished rooms, modern style kitchen and front room, decent balcony, large bathroom (no tub) and cleaned daily. There's a TV but no English channels (but that's not why you're there!). If it bothers you, take a fire stick or similar as there were USB and HDMI ports. We booked through Jet2 on a half board basis. The rep came into the hotel the day before we were due to fly home (helpful!), but there was a number to call if there were any problems. On the whole, very impressed with Jet2 and their flights/transfers (which was only about 25 minutes from Reus airport, a huge plus). The hotel staff are great, with special shout outs to the lady on reception, the Scottish man who switched seamlessly from Scot to Spanish while working with a broken arm, and the barmen who told me I could buy a bottle of wine and leave it in their fridge with our room number on it (17 euros for rose). Drinks were surprisingly reasonable, with a pint of Estrella, glass of rose wine, pepsi and pineapple juice for 9 euros. You do have to purchase drinks with your dinner (even still water at 1,30 euros). Dinner was always good quality - salad bar, soup, main dishes usually fish, vegetables, chips, pasta station, freshly grilled meats that rotate each night (pork/burgers/turkey/chicken) and the same for choice of pizza, plus a varied choice of deserts. We were really impressed with the pool. It looks tiny in the photos, but it's a decent size. We went down about 3pm each day and never had a problem getting a sunbed. By this time it's in the shade though, but you can lug your lounger to where the sun is if you want to tan. If you want more activities, hop over to the sister hotel California Gardens where they have entertainment (standard water polo, games etc) and also evening entertainment. So the location. There's a decent, large supermarket across the road with everything you'd need for self catering. You are a five minute walk from the main beach (we also like the smaller Capellans beach (face the sea on the main Llevant beach and turn left, walking about ten minutes around a board walk over the rocks) which was smaller but had pedalos to hire for 25 euros per hour. Beach beds were 8-10 euros each per day, same for the parasols. There are loads, and I mean A LOT of choices to eat out, and they generally get cheaper the further inland you go from the beach. As we were half board we only ate out twice, once in Cambrils (worth a visit, get the bus from the main strip, it was 9,60 euros one way for four, paid the driver cash) and second at Goretti's (past McDonalds on the be
