Ouril Hotel Agueda

Superó todas nuestras expectativas. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y bonitas, con camas muy cómodas y amplias y buen baño. Un desayuno increíble, como productos variados, tortillas, huevos, tortitas, etc. que te hacían al momento. Gran facilidad para contratar servicios externos y tours a través del hotel. Personal muy agradable y atento. Situado en una preciosa playa de Sal Rei a la que nuestros dormitorios tenías vistas. Esta playa además estaba muy poco masificada por lo que era muy agradable pasar el rato allí. Su terraza con jacuzzi también nos sorprendió mucho. El servicio de coctelería es espectacular. Desde esta misma terraza o desde la playa en la que se encuentra el hotel se pueden ver unos atardeceres preciosos.

The hotel is nicely situated. However..breakfasts were disappointing, it took a constant effort to ask for the empty trays to be refilled, and to provide plates to eat off. The restaurant was overrun by flies entering through an open door. There was no hot water for 3 days, and when I spoke to the manager, he said there was a problem with the electrics connected to the solar panels. I asked when it might be fixed, and was told he had no idea- the part was on another island waiting to come over. We left after 3 days and went to Riu Karamboa Hotel. No blame can be attached to Wagner, the manager. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. I would also never use Loveholidays again. They're difficult to contact to complain, the call centre is in India so there is a language problem- and they've also recently dropped out of ABTA, so your holiday is not guaranteed. I would also advise caution when booking with them- the holiday insurance they provide is by an extremely low rated company whose reviews are almost all negative.

Plus Points - Brilliant location, more or less on the beach, great views Really nice rooftop bar. Negative Points - The rooftop bar opens when it feels like it. Every time I left the room and tried to return my keycard didnt work....every time.. Air con with all the strength of an asthmatic six year old on an egg and spoon race. The bathroom lock jammed, which meant I was unable to use the loo over night..! The guy who repaired it knock the hell out of it with a hammer, it snapped off and the door opened. "Fixed" he said quite proudly. Shower tap feel off onto my foot. Wasn't a single clean surface everyone was scuffed. Breakfast, dried bread, reconstructed ham, unidentified cheese. TV it turned on and 3 channels were available, very nostalgic, took me back to my youth. So in conclusion, as someone else said on here.....OK for somewhere to sleep.
