Auberge du Vieux Moulin

We had a wonderful stay with innkeeper Kevin and his wonderful team. They went above and beyond for a great French Canadian winter holiday. The grounds at the auberge are beautiful, and there are so many winter activities to take part in. We were able to try cross country skiing, skating on a frozen lake, hiking, snow shoeing, ice fishing, and even snow mobiling. Being from a much milder winter home, we loved it all! Some of us also enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs. We did the breakfast and dinner plan, since we didn’t want to cook or to be driving around the area in the snow. The multi-course dinners were amazing! Our room was comfortable and clean and we loved having a wood fire each afternoon and evening in the fireplace. It was a perfect winter holiday for us as a family, and we hope we’ll come back again one day.

The place is amazing, they have a restaurant where the food is very good, its very clean and you have access to kayaks, mountain bikes, etc free of charge, just that the owner, Mme Silvie is the most obnoxious person I have ever met. Not sure if she is a hard core xenophobe, her attitude much more pleasant with the french speaking clientele. With us and some other anglo families, she was so passive aggressive I could not stand it. Just as an ex, my kids were playing with a paddle boat that was missing a cap so water went inside, when my husband tried to pull it out of the water, he made a comment asking her if its normal for water to go inside (he did not see the missing cap and her reply was "its because of the way your kids played with it". Whatever my kids were doing they were like: dont put the plastic ball in the water (it was from the stuff they were allowing us free access to) or when my 9 year old took a fishing rod and he was fishing at the far end of the ponton, no one else on the beach, she went to tell him he needs to take a fishing boat and go far on the lake to fish, not on the ponton and on and on.

Very pricey and over rated. The food was was from a gastronomic feast. Steamed rice and boiled veggies with tasteless entrees. Would not recommend. Look for something else. Tourist trap. Checked out earlier, not satisfied

Vous cherchez un endroit pour vous régaler les papilles, pour vous ressourcer, pour vous éclater en motoneige, en raquettes, à ski de fond en hiver mais aussi à pied ou bien en kayak l'été? ne cherchez plus. Cela fait 10 ans que nous revenons hiver comme été, en chambre, en chalet et en cool box et l'auberge nous offre à chaque séjour une expérience magnifique, tant par le lieu que par l'accueil (le personnel en cuisine, em salle, en chambre et dans l'accompagnement des activités est juste parfait!)!

L’auberge du vieux moulin est la plus belle auberge que j’ai jamais vu! Notre séjour était juste incroyable. Nous avons tellement bien relaxés. Le personnel était tout simplement incroyable et trop gentil. Le site est magnifique avec tout inclus ( kayak, pédalo, paddle board et plus encore) les spas sont parfait pour une détente absolu. Merci encore à toutes et tous pour ce magnifique séjour, mémorable. C’était la fête de mon copain, et nous n’avons pas pu rêver mieux pour un week-end en amoureux

Un environnement magique. Malgré le peu d'achalandage a cette période de l'année, tout était ouvert et fonctionnel. Nous avons été super bien servies. Le personnel est amical et au petit soin. Nous avions l'iimpression d'être seules au monde. Le site est propre, le décor est de bon goût. Malgré l'aménagement du site, la nature a été préservée ce qui rend le tout encore plus enchanteur. Il y a beaucoup a faire: feu de foyer, baignade dans les spas, piscine et lac; kayak et beaucoup d'autres activités. Nous avions une chambre standard et je l'ai trouvé spacieuse et l'accès direct à l'extérieur par un porte munie d'un moustiquaire est une agréable surprise. Il me tarde d'y retourner!
