It's a great property that has been beautifully renovated, the food was very good, and the bar/service/beach staff were all excellent. However, that's where the good news stops. The front-of-the-house management (front desk, managers, etc.) is a hot mess. In summary, there were botched charges for upgrades not granted, stanch refusal for upgrades or late checkout when they were clearly available, miscommunication about timing of having to move rooms, and most troubling...a mystery (supposedly solved, although I have my doubts) of how someone's personal car/house keys ended up in our room, on the tabletop next to our own personal items, while we were still occupying it. Hotel security was involved to figure out what happened, and while an explanation was given, not much adds up and no consideration was offered by management for what was clearly a mistake that could have gone badly (i.e., theft of our items with no explanation, etc.). Only a promise to take care of us if we ever return, which seems unlikely for some time.
