Badrutt's Palace Hotel St Moritz

Everything at Badrutt’s Palace has been carefully thought of and selected to be top notch. We were picked up from the train station in a classic Rolls Royce waiting at the exit for us. It’s a quick 5 minute ride to the hotel. Once in the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly staff at check-in and made to feel extremely welcome. We were upgraded based on AE Platinum status and the suite was breathtaking. Top shelf alcohol is complimentary in the room and they even brought me a cake and flowers for my birthday! We enjoyed an English Tea for two in the grand hall which was delightful. Room service was speedy and the burger delicious. We enjoyed the luxury pool facilities, especially the outdoor area. The linens are luxurious and I had the best sleep. The breakfast was included with AE Platinum and was phenom. Concierge was very helpful in arranging a car to Lake Como. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. I have zero complaints and had the most fantastic stay. We are planning our return trip to the Palace!

Luxurious seems too weak a word. Sumptuous. Elegant. Finery. Abundance. Exquisite. We arrived on the Glacier Express and asked to be picked up. The hotel sent a breathtaking Rolls-Royce (see picture). The driver, Massimo, was so kind and helpful he felt like a family member. This was our first impression, and it was an excellent taste of the things yet to come at Batrutt's Palace Hotel. Our room was lush and perfect. Our "balcony" would be better described as a terrace. Our view of the lake and mountains was breathtaking. Housekeeping and room service were graciously accommodating to any request. The concierges were also wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful. We didn't use the spa, but we visited it, and the ambiance was unique and very inviting.

We stayed with our daughters mid January and had a wonderful time. This was our second stay, 7 years after our first stay. We were very glad we visited again. The pool was amazing, especially the outside area. We really enjoyed iceskating on the rink (our younger daughter went 3 times one day!). We also really enjoyed cross-country skiing with the instructor arranged through via the ski school linked to the hotel. The high tea was wonderful. The food and service were also excellent at the associated Chesa Veglia Patrizier Stuben, as well as the Pizzeria. The breakfast was also amazing with a very wide variety of food in the buffet, as well as a large variety of Ala carte options. We found the staff all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel in a spectacular location. Hopefully will return again one day!

One of the most amazing hotels in the world. You will not find better service anywhere. The facilities are traditional elegance from the belle époque, and St. Moritz is stunning, but what really makes the stay is the wonderful people. Every person was truly happy, helpful, and made you feel like you could be best friends. Some of the nicest most charming people in the world, in every aspect of the hotel, in every store, in every restaurant. They all speak multiple languages and every person can carry on an intellectual conversation at any time. A week in Badrutt Palace inspires hope in humanity and the kindness of people.

The service is outstanding - Concierge and Reception very attentive, dedicated and experienced. Service at the SPA and in the Ski room is also very attentive. Location at the heart of St Moritz. SPA facilities /outdoor pool are very nice. Breakfast buffet and menu is also excellent - one of the best I have ever experienced. Everything is top quality. Rooms are roomy (at least in the category I was staying). What could be improved: reserve a time in the evening where the SPA/pool access is restricted to adults (and thus more quiet/relaxing).

The property is gorgeous and upscale and we were excited to see all the different restaurants and amenities. However, when we entered we noticed immediately that they were NOT hospitable in the least…..We had a reservation at kings social for dinner and the after party and we arrived early. We asked to walk around and were told it was for hotel guests only. We restated we had a reservation at their dinner club and we just wanted to view the property to which they reluctantly replied- “ok but please just don’t sit down anywhere”…..wow that was pretty off putting from the gate. We moved on to dinner at kings and the food was great, we paid the bill and had about an hour gap until the after party started. The waitress told us to go visit the bar upstairs in the meantime, she said since we dined at the restaurant it’s no problem. We ventured to the bar and immediately a man behind the rope very rudely said absolutely not, we weren’t hotel guests and couldn’t go in. We had just spent 300 CHF per person at kings and were dressed to the nines, and we were astonished at this level of rudeness. We explained the waitress from kings referred us there and again, very rudely he stated “no, nobody called me to tell me, and you are a guest for kings not here”. Mind you, we live in Los Angeles and are no strangers to elitist and exclusive locations, but even in LA this level of RUDE has never happened. Every corner we turned in badrutts palace seemed like a rejection, which we were not only not accustomed to, but found to be extremely unacceptable for such a beautiful property. We were so turned off that we left without staying for the after party we originally reserved at kings, and I can confidently say, I will never go back to badrutts or recommend to anyone.
