The Ours Blanc hotel is a brilliant hotel, comfortable and welcoming with a delightful staff team. The arrangements for skiing are as good as they get. Well located boot room with easy access to the piste and lifts below. Each locker has heated boot pegs. The bedroom is comfortable and well laid out with good storage arrangements and pegs for coats. There are a number of different interesting/comfortable social spaces to relax and meet fellow skiers, with usual bar and free hot drinks machine with nearby fizzy and still water on tap. There are some nice spaces for kids to chill out too. The occasional afternoon cake and pre dinner musical or magical moments were delightful. There were occasions when the restaurant could have been led and managed more efficiently. Would recommend.

What a gorgeous place. I highly recommend after a glorious stay. Arriving in a convenient car park, into the lovely hotel. Very friendly and warm welcome from the staff who were super helpful all week. Beautiful interiors, fantastic buffet breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, gorgeous views from the orangery and deck. Small but very functional family room with great sizeable bunks for a 10 and 12 year old, big comfy bed and pillows for us. A secret play room for the kids hidden behind a bookcase, lovely SPA with indoor/outdoor pool hammam and sauna. Fantastic location, walking out of the ski room and onto a little slope to join the green piste down to the Croisette. Ski hire shop 200m away and they delivered to the hotel by the time we checked in. Restaurants just round the corner. Awesome! We’ll be back!

Just returned from a wonderful week at Ours Blanc and have booked again for next year. The hotel has a lovely vibe, friendly staff, lovely rooms and wonderful spa. We enjoyed our half board package with a good variety on offer every breakfast and evening. Nothing better than returning from the slopes to the well kept boot room, a dip in the pool and a sauna before chilling in the bar and dinner. Can't wait to come back!

Our first time to Ours Blanc during half term….already booked for next winter! Everything during our stay was perfect, all the staff so welcoming and helpful. Ski in /ski out location, very nice spa, plenty of variety and choice for breakfast and dinner. You can buy ski passes from reception and ski rental easy enough from just down the road (they collect the gear from your locker at the end of the week). If you’re arranging ski school it may be easier to choose Croisette meeting point as you can ski there, otherwise the bus stops outside the hotel so no big deal. Thanks for a memorable stay Ours Blanc - we will see you next winter!

This was our fifth holiday at Ours Blanc , and the second under the new ownership. We were disappointed by a few things on our first stay under the new ownership but there have been big improvements since then . The location of the hotel is hard to beat, true ski in / ski out and there is more space in the restaurant and (newly carpeted) boot room to accommodate the extension of the rooms. The buffet in the evening has been improved we liked the flexibility of eating as much or as little as we wanted , allowing us to enjoy eating on the mountain at lunchtime. The spa is ideal for soothing aches and pains after a full day skiing. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. We can’t wait to return next year ,hopefully. My only request would be for more comfortable pillows 🙏

We have just come back from our first stay at L'Ours Blanc and we must say that it was fantastic!! The car park was easily accessible with ample parking spaces available (I would recommend having snow chains for the days that it is icy or slushy as the drive is a little steep). We arrived at the check in desk to be warmly greeted by the manager and told that we were given a complimentary room upgrade which was very much appreciated after our long drive. Our room was spacious with a nice sized balcony with a beautiful view over the mountains looking towards Cime de Caron. The housekeeping staff were very attentive and left our room spotless with fresh sheets every day. The buffet food was delicious with a different menu each evening. We were slightly concerned with reading previous reviews about the food but I can confidently say that the food was superb with a great variety. There was also a great selection of food for breakfast too. My only little comment on the breakfast is that if you sit in the conservatory area I found that my food went cold quickly but that isn't surprising given that it is surrounded by glass so I would recommend that you sit in the main restaurant, this wasn't an issue in the evening as the curtains get drawn which keeps the heat in. The facilities on site were great with a beautiful spa, bar area, library and snug area above the library. The ski lockers were great with ample space for our ski stuff with the added bonus of having ski boot warmers in the locker which we weren't expecting! Due to the weather and poor visibility there were a couple of days where we chose not to ski but we took full advantage of the free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes into Les Menuires town, from there we got another free bus into Val Thorens. A couple of times we decided to stroll down down to Les Menuires which is well worth the walk (around 20/25 minutes walk). Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at L'Ours Blanc, the staff have made our stay here very pleasurable and their hospitality has been second to none. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and they take a genuine interest in how our day has been and very chatty. It was lovely that a lot of staff remembered our conversations from days prior. We would recommend L'Ours Blanc to everybody and we shall certainly be returning in the future.

We stayed there with our two boys in December 22nd had one of the most relaxing time during ski holidays. The hotel is well located and recently refurbished, but what’s make se if truly exceptional is the staff. They are always there to help, they will remember your name soon after your checked in and they are super kind to children. THE LOCATION L’ours blanc is just above the Reberty resort, next to La Croisette. You can walk to Reberty and there is a bus outside the hotel to La Croisette. You can leave the hotel directly on ski. If your children take ski lesson, la Croisette is the best place as you can ski down within a few minutes. You have a beautiful view to the valley from many rooms and the restaurant. THE AMENITIES It is been recently refurbished to a high standard. On the ground floor, you have a bar, restaurant and library with a “secret door” to a kids area (with games, books and arcades!). It was very handy at dinner when our kids would eat and rush to play with their friends, letting the adults enjoy a peaceful dinner. The spa and pool are fairly small but do the job; it can be a little crowded at 6pm. THE ROOMS The rooms have been redone beautifully. Initially our room and bathroom were very small. The hotel manager moved us to a different room and it made all the difference to our stay. THE RESTAURANT The restaurant is a buffet. The hotel changed owners so people who have been to l’Ours Blanc before would have been used to table service. Nevertheless, the buffet is very generous and the food was high quality and varied. We stayed over Christmas and the staff made a real effort to make it festive. We choose to be half board so we could eat on the slope during lunch time. THE STAFF As I mentioned at the start, what made our stay memorable is the staff. The hotel manager is omnipresent, she knows her guests, clearly takes care of her staff and it shows in the overall atmosphere of the hotel. All in one, I would strongly recommend l’Ours Blanc. My boys already asked to go back next year. The room we had was more expensive then what we ate originally booked but if we can make it work, we’ll be back.

Review The hotel is a reasonable three star, not a 4 star. The food is a buffet which is hit and miss at best. There were several occasions where the main dishes ran out and you were left with chicken nuggets and chips. On the last night none of the main meals were edible - later found out the chef was off… Restaurant manager couldn’t care less. Other points: - Clean the drains in the spa outside of opening hours. Not what you want to see when sitting in the sauna. - Provide enough towels in the spa for all guests. - Don’t wait for guests to ask for things to be topped up. - The boot room is too dark. - The beds have plastic mattress protectors on them - it’s a 4 star hotel seriously? Most of the staff were lovely but I would not return to this hotel. Such a shame because it’s has great potential.

Loved being at Ours Blanc with friends. Ski in and ski out !! Lovely breakfast and dinner. The spa was great and the service was really nice. Bedrooms are just about the right size. Cosy beds. Only downside is size of shower, seeing as the ceiling is low you have to bend.

A few days in this hotel for relaxation had turned into a nightmare, when we arrived the room was not ready explaining to us that it was a special day with many departures and many arrivals. Arriving in our long-awaited room there was a smell of humidity, we had warned the maid who had come at the end of the day to put deodorant which had given us a headache, the problem came from a siphon clogged with hair that we had personally cleaned, for buffet catering, it was better to arrive first but endure the wait rather than arriving last with empty buffets, we did not enjoy our stay and we do not think that this hotel deserves the standing of all the glowing comments

Visited with my husband and son for a ski trip; the hotel has a great location and is easy to ski in and out from. There’s also a bus stop just opposite the hotel so you can easily access the free village shuttle. The facilities at the hotel are superb; spa, pool, lockable ski storage, a well stocked games room and incredible views from our spacious family room. Free access to tea/coffee and pastries during the day. We ate at the hotel for breakfast and evening meal. I am amazed to read previous negative reviews regarding the buffet, as it was quite simply the best buffet I’ve ever had, night after night. Our son also has a severe food allergy and they were able to cater for him, often going above and beyond by cooking him a separate dish. All the staff were friendly and professional, particularly the lady on the front desk who always made time to engage with our son. We were incredibly impressed with this hotel and would certainly return.

We had a fantastic stay at Ours Blanc. Our host Maud and all staff have been very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner have been buffets with a lot of choice and nice details for kids. The hotel has a library with a secret way to the playroom which is beautifully decorated and good fun for the kids. At the same time the hotel is a relaxing place with a great spa. We enjoyed the sauna and the pool where you can swim outside and enjoy the freh air. The hotel is serving lunch on a terrace and is located directly on the ski piste. We can highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Thank you very much to the whole "Ours Blanc" team!

We've spent a week in l'Ours Blanc with our 2 teenager kids on a bed and breakfast basis in 2 adjoining rooms. The rooms were very nice, the breakfast lovely with a wide variety and we loved relaxing in the hammam and sauna after a day on the pistes. The location is great as there is direct access to the pistes. There is a ski rental shop nearby that delivers and collects your boots and skis on the first and last day. But what was truly exceptional was the service from the hotel staff, especially at reception. They were always more than friendly and went beyond their duty to help us with our many demands and personal issues. We'll come back...

We came here for dinner and in the restaurant they only served buffet. I found this to be very disturbing because we made a reservation especially for a good dinner. On top most of the food served was cold. It felt like eating breakfast all over again
