Brit Hotel le Surcouf

Für eine Nacht war die Lage und alles bestens. Der zu späte Check-in wird sehr genau genommen.

I came to Saint Malo hoping to have a quick, relaxing get-away. Instead I had such a terrible experience with this hotel that it severely put a damper on my weekend. To begin with, there is absolutely no security at night other than a thin glass door with no physical person to keep an eye on the property beginning around 8:30pm!! The breakfast, which is expensive for what they offer, was pathetic. There was practically nothing left to eat 45 min before the end of the breakfast time slot with only one couple having breakfast when I arrived (can't say that they were too busy to make sure that there was fresh fruit, milk, bread etc. available!!) The room I had smelled musty and of mildew (I had to leave the window open during my absence during the day which made me nervous considering the lack of security). Something strange happened to one of the walls as a small portion of one wall was poorly painted a different color than the rest of the room making it look unkept and decrepit. Why they couldn't just use the same color is beyond me. The television didn't work except for 2 channels which weren't even the local ones that I needed to have a proper weather report! The only amenity they give is shower gel. No drinking water, no individual hand soap, nothing. The toilet paper are tiny individual sheets and the toilet seat cover didn't stay up easily which meant that it needed to be held while using the facilities. The walls are incredibly thin so you hear everything around you. Twice I thought someone was trying to get into my room as the sound of the key going into the door next to mine was so loud. I was woken both mornings by noise in the hallway (which consisted simply of people walking in the halls and opening their doors). Overall there are many other 3 star hotels in Saint Malo that are properly concieved with proper service and ammenities. Honestly, don't bother coming to this hotel, it's sincerely not worth it even if it means paying a little bit more elsewhere!!

Average hotel. No fridge in the room. No iron. The owner was kind. They gave us a small ticket with the code to enter the hotel the night (nobody is there the night- like an Airbnb- not a hotel) and, since we lost it, nobody replied when we called.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel bien situé près du sillon er des thermes. Salle de bain fonctionnelle. Lit King site. PDJ à la hauteur. Personnel souriant. Les chaînes canal plus sur la télé. C'est à souligner. De grandes enseignes ne le font pas. Prix intéressant. Nous conseillons et reviendrons.

Alors que l'accueil affiché sur la porte va de 07H30 à 21H30, je suis arrivé à 14H00 mais la porte était fermée. J'ai dû attendre 15H30 pour pouvoir accéder à la chambre que j'avais réservée. A aucun moment il ne m'a été spécifié cette caractéristique. J'ai été obligé de repousser mes rendez-vous afin de me changer ce qui est pénalisant pour tout le monde. A éviter.

Petit hotel propre mais les chambres sont petites : douche cachée à côté du lavabo, il faut y passer de biais 15-20 cm ! Difficile de trouver un restaurant à côté, le patron nous en a indiqué deux (sans nous donner le tél, à nous de chercher sur internet), donc nous avons marauder le soir en rentrant et l'un était fermé. Dommage qu'un hotel ne puisse pas donner un plan ou des cartes de visites de leur confrère ou conseiller de manière plus touristique.

Petit hôtel charmant, hôtesse d’accueil agréable, décoration des chambres dans des teintes marrons mais fonctionnelles. Literie confortable pour des nuits iodées dans la cité corsaire ! Proche commerce, plus qu’à longer le sillon à pied pendant 20 min pour arriver dans la vieille ville !

Prima hotel voor kort verblijf. Functionele, schone en comfortabele kamers. Prima ontbijt maar verder geen eet mogelijkheden of andere voorzieningen. Uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Op 5min loopafstand van het strand. Winkels en restaurants om de hoek.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit fin juin 22 au Brit hotel le SURCOUF. L.accueil y est très agréable et professionnel, l'établissement est très bien situé, proche de la plage du Sillon. Le bémol concernant la chambre, elle n'était pas très grande, par contre très propre. Le sol mériterait une réfection, la moquette marron foncé est un peu triste et fatiguée, avec une descente de lit qui ressemble plutôt à un paillasson, dommage...
