Stunning, immaculate house elegantly renovated . Peaceful setting with extensive gardens, a hot tub, swing and outside seating. Parking is also within the grounds. Having our continental breakfast overlooking the gardens and seeing the peacocks roam was a lovely sight first thing in the morning. The owners, one French and one English are delightful, incredibly helpful and hospitable. The location is 30 minutes from Calais and only 2 miles from Boulogne town centre, both of which are very easy by car/great roads. Supermarkets are nearby as is the road to Rouen. Highly recommended and we intend to return.

Lovely stay at Maison Grandsire Chambres D'Hotes - spacious, comfortable rooms, very welcoming hosts, and a lovely setting. Quiet surroundings and very peaceful in the mornings. Nice to have a later (1200) checkout. Easy to get to by car and a short drive/ taxi into town.

Lawrence and Nicholas were excellent hosts during our 4 night stay. The accommodation was very good, the beds were comfortable and the room was well equipped and cosy. A lovely Continental breakfast was provided each morning and a well equipped kitchen was available if we wanted to use it to cook in the evening. The grounds were extensive and although not used there is a hot tub, a barbeque and a terrace. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and will be returning.

Having stayed last May we returned in November to celebrate a friends milestone birthday, and again in December on our way back from the Christmas Market in Lille. Our three visits to this elegant residence which has been restored and decorated to a very high standard by the excellent, friendly hosts were truely unforgettable. The rooms are extremly comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities. And, the extensive grounds, complete with hot tub (in season) and resident peacocks, are magnificent. Breakast consists of an extensive choice of mainly local produce with butter and eggs from the hosts family farm. We look forward to our next visit to this superb residence whose owners clearly know how to run a successful establishment. This is a rare find located just a short drive from Boulogne sur Mer. If you are looking for a peacful and relaxing stay in a tranquil setting then look no futher.

A beautiful place with lovely gardens including the gorgeous peacocks and the occasional deer. Rooms are spacious and decorated to a very high standard and very tastefully done. We stayed as a grown up family for Christmas and Nick and Lo were great hosts. Fully recommend to stay here.

what a wonderful place, decorated with such style and taste. good bed in a spacious room (Marie) and a niet bathroom. A shower would complete the accomodation. breakfast is a delight ! Au revoir ! Leo the peacock is a showman 😉

I travelled here with my son for 2 visits. Both were excellent. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The spacious bathrooms has crisp clean towels and felt very luxurious, perfect after a long day out at the beach or visiting the many things to do in the area; we also enjoyed using the hot tub to wind down. Laurence and Nick are welcoming hosts and prepare a lovely and generous breakfast of local and home Meade produce to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the gardens with peacocks roaming in them. There is easy access to Boulogne Sur Mer that has many excellent restaurants, and golf at Le Touquet and Hardelot is only a short drive. I would thoroughly recommend this place for a short or long stay.

Set in a quiet place the villa has been really tastefully renovated and boasts a charming garden with a good parking area. A peacock was there to welcome us in from the front of the main door and 5 minutes later the host arrived and warmly welcomed us. Our room was on the second floor, up a very nice and bright staircase. Spacious, comfortable bed, modern bathroom with Italian shower. We could use the kitchen on the ground floor and we enjoyed a nice evening snack in the lobby, which serves as a cosy breakfast room in the morning. All products are locally sourced and fresh. A 35 minute drive to Calais enabling you to get an early ferry to Dover. You really feel the love the owners put into the renovation.

Fantastic stay! Spacious bedroom and bathroom tastefully decorated. Very rich breakfast and Laurence & Nicholas are very welcoming and our late arrival was not a problem for them. We only spent one night but we’re already planning to go back!
