Sealofts on the Beach

Stayed here two days, wifi did not work and the owner was unscrupulous. Agreed on a price for a one-year lease then 18hrs before she refused to finalize the lease and raised the rate from 1250USD to 1800USD per month. Terrible woman. Avoid 39. SeaLofts are beach front but you cannot swim there bc of a sea wall and it is the seaweed and shark-full Atlantic side.

Tessa Dennehy, owner of Unit 39 at SeaLofts, agreed to lease me her unit for one year for $1250 per month. Sealofts' competent property manager, Shanda connected Tessa and me via email to sign the lease. We agreed I would move in on Saturday, August 24th. At 3pm on Friday, August 23rd, as I was in St. Kitts ready to move, I was informed that Tessa Dennehy had reneged our agreement because "she suddenly changed her mind after talking to a friend and she now wants $1800 per month instead of $1250." Tessa Dennehy did not care about our agreement and exposed herself to be a heartless, unscrupulous landlord, as I was left without accommodation for the very next day and, thus, I left St. Kitts and returned to USA. I'm sure there are many nice owners within the SeaLofts community. Rent from them. Avoid #39 and don't support greedy slumlords like Tessa Dennehy. The on-site property manager Shanda was profusely apologetic but could not get Tessa Dennehy to honor her word.

Great location! A very short walk to golf course, casino’s, beaches (both on Atlantic and Caribbean sides), The Strip, Grocery stores, and excellent dining for every budget! Taxi stand right out front! We stayed in #14 - Well equipped, clean apartment with lots of towels, bedding and kitchen supplies. Very comfortable, nice upper deck and ground floor lounge areas. Included cable TV, WiFi, local telephone, books, games, and movies. Washer/Dryer and Air conditioning in unit (although we didn’t need it with the ocean breezes). Clean and organised. Grounds include very clean pool, BBQ, gathering areas, and Atlantic ocean/beachfront. The Hosts were awesome! Connected us with dining suggestions, organizing tours, what to see and do! Very responsive. Thanks for the memories!

Well equipped apartment, good Wi Fi, mosquito screens and air conditioning if needed. Clean and organised. Very large fridge perfect for making ice and keeping the beers and ice cream cool. Plenty of beach towels, bedding and a washing machine which we used and a dryer. Full sized cooker and a shared BBQ on site. You can buy charcoal from the local supermarket, which is well stocked for salads and drinks. My son used the dried palm leaves and bark to start the BBQ. The apartment we stayed at had circular stairs which could be awkward and there was one bedroom and the master was in the loft so little privacy from the living area. UK visitors should bring UK to US converters. We made daily use of the pool and as it was low season there was only one other couple staying. We felt like millionaires having the pool to ourselves. We didn't swim in the sea at Sealofts as it was on the Atlantic side. There was too much seaweed and the waves were about 1.5m high. Frigate Bay is 10 minutes walk away and has a nice sandy beach. It is on the Carribean side and so is sheltered. You can hire chairs and umbrellas from the bars along the strip. Joyce Isaac from Carribean Property Realty had arranged for fruit and some drinks on the fridge on our arrival. She also helped arrange daytrips and our airport transfer with Dennis Levine who also took us on a tour of the island to include a visit to Brimstone Hill Fortress which I highly recommended but there is an extra charge for entry. He also arranged our half day tour of Nevis with Dale. He would point out the various edible fruits growing in the hotel gardens and tell you the difference between a goat and sheep. I would recommend staying at Sealofts during low season if you value your independence and value a peaceful holiday. Joyce is fantastic and is always able to help with queries and even following up our complaint when we were not provided the correct meal at the local chicken takeaway. We avoided heavy rain and hurricanes during our visit, which helps with the rose tinted review and it was too windy for mosquitoes.
