I had the absolute misfortune of booking a room in this pub (It’s not a hotel) … Had it been more than 1 night I would have left..to add context… Unsafe Fire safety compliance.. Noisy pub below my room… strong mell of ***** throughout.. The exit doors are all marked with crayons Sink hanging off Fire door clearly marked “Keep closed” wide open and stocked with rubbish… Disgusting shared toilet I was 1 moment t away from calling both Hampshire fire service for a hotel compliance inspection and the environmental health department.. Please avoid

Went in, and could not have asked for better service. Was quiet considering the school holidays but the team were awesome. Couldn’t do enough for us. The toastie was potentially the best toastie I have ever eaten! Proper bread, not soggy & just perfect. Such a friendly place with locals & team.

Lovely family run pub with staff who always go above and beyond to help. Cheap drinks and certainly not a "clicky" pub. Everyone is welcome and all are treated as if they are family. Drinks are a reasonable price with many deals.. recently started food too at a reasonable price and very large portions.. Many tvs to watch many different sporting channels on Free pool tables and a free dart board Juke box with all kinds of music and after 6pm its free too Rooms are cheap and clean and very airy Overall a good place to start or end the night. Id recommend the crown to anyone

Great lively sports bar! They show most sports :)Lots of spirits to choose from endless amounts of jager! Comfy room with kingsize bed and an ensuite but a tad noisy but it was a weekend! All in all a great pub 😀

I stayed here during a recent trip and was genuinely impressed. The pub has a lively, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of character, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They were friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The food was excellent, generous portions, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. A great way to unwind after a long day. The rooms upstairs were clean, warm, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a good night’s sleep. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a proper meal and a good drink, and feel looked after. Perfect for anyone travelling for work who prefers somewhere with a bit of heart and personality. I’ll definitely be back soon.

The rooms are big and had a large king size bed They hold monthly music nights of all genres and very good vibe on the pub. The room was nice and clean noisy but we was too busy enjoying the music downstairs to care. Super welcoming once you start talking to one person you don’t stop!

Stayed here whilst over for the IOW festival, staff were great and there was a good atmosphere in the place, rooms were fine, only in the room for sleeping tbh and well priced in a great location, you would normally expect to be paying a premium for the location. thanks guys see you next year. So myself, my family and close friends have been coming and staying in the crown for over 10 years. Its one of the most popular busiest pubs in ryde. This is because its a reknowned sports bar showing all the latest sports events with there many tv's around the bar & projector tv screen. When people book the crown they can clearly see it is in the centre of town so there will be noise . The staff & many of the regulars are polite, welcoming & if you have any queries they more than accomodate & help you as much as they can. There are alot worse hotels in ryde but if you want what i call a "proper pub" with genuine friendly excellent staff i highly recommend it & will continue to use
