What a place. In its history the restaurant here was the darling of the new suburban dream and the wealthy from Ruislip, Ickenham, Denham and beyond would flock. Let's remind ourselves that in that suburban dream, little old Ruislip has five tube stations, more than any other suburban gem in Greater London. It's gone wrong with Premier Inn apparently opening a quick build hotel without giving a damn about it's 'promise' that a decent restaurant would be on site or adjacent. Ruislip has more decent restaurants now than ever before with every price range from McDonalds to Browns. Can you imagine that Ruislip still has the Wimpy bar it had 40 years ago. But the point of Premier Inns is that you all park up after a long drive, have a shower, and dive into the restaurant next door. So far that's gone wrong here. So tips: decide on and book your Ruislip restaurant in advance. When you've arrived and parked up at Premier and unwound, get an Uber to the restaurant and back. Next day go into London on the Tube, enjoy yourself, and "Mind the Gap". And in terms of enjoying your stay at this Premier, not a question of mind the gap, but manage it...
