Hotel Dandy Rouen Centre

Lovely little hotel on mostly-pedestrian street Rue Cauchoise. The staff speaks English & very gracious! They have 3 parking spaces in a parking structure right around the corner from the hotel (be sure to reserve in advance!) comfortable room and bed. Breakfast is offered for 12€, but we had places to go and sights to see so we passed. But I would def stay again, highly recommend!

Staff very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was continental and well worth €10, the rooms were clean and the bed comfy. Location was great and very close to the centre of the city. Overall very good value and a pleasurable experience. My only critique and the reason for not giving 5 stars was the water pressure and temperature of the shower, the temperature was only just like warm. We will definitely use this hotel again.

I wound up booking here because I couldn't get two consecutive nights in other hotels I checked. I figured this was a chance for me to save some money and make up for overspending on other parts of my trip. The hotel was relatively close to the train station (10-minute walk) and to the Musee de Beaux Arts, the cathedrals, and other Old Town sights. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. HOWEVER, the hotel was a big disappointment. It was dark and kind of creepy because I never saw another guest. There is no one at the front desk most of the time, so you need to let yourself in and out. In the pictures, the place looks adorable, but I found it depressing. The antiques looked more like items you'd find at a garage sale, and the bathroom was in serious need of an upgrade. Aside from the sink and shower faucets, it looked like it hadn't been touched since the late 50s. The tile and fixtures were all pink and gray, and the toilet seat didn't match the toilet. Even with the lights on, the bathroom was dark. There is no air conditioning or fan; kept the window open because the room was so stuffy. The highlight of the second night was seeing two mice running across the floor and then disappearing under the heater. I complained about this when checking out, but I wasn't offered any compensation other than a free continental breakfast, which I didn't have time for and, with the mice in mind, wouldn't have eaten anyway. Would never stay here again and don't recommend it.

Hôtel décevant. Établissement vieillot mal entretenu loin des attentes. Les chambres sont défraîchies. Les hôteliers sont malhonnêtes et peu professionnels. Une expérience à oublier. Passez votre chemin ! Je déconseille cet hôtel à quiconque.

Hotel bien situé dans le centre ville avec un parking public proche. Bonne chambre dans le bâtiment principal (il semble que l'annexe soit moins bien) Bon petit déjeuner mais trop cher La réception ferme à 21h et la rue n'est pas très sûre tard le soir.

Excellent hôtel. L’accueil, la situation en centre ville près de tout, les chambres et le petit déjeuner, tout est parfait. Vous n’êtes qu’à quelques mètres de la place du marché. Je vous recommande vivement. Vous pouvez visiter la ville sans avoir besoin d’utiliser les transports.
