Dusties Hotel

This is the worst place to stay. No one on reception to ask for pillows, hand towels, a fan, a iron and ironing board and toilet roll. We never saw a member of staff once in the 2 night stay. A so called newly refurbished ex pub. Flooring in bathroom lifting trip hazard. Mould in shower. Constant smell of **** when you enter the building. Not a pleasant stay at all. Avoid!

Dusties is very recently refurbished. The rooms are very modern with new carpets, furniture, bathrooms and decor. The bed is very comfortable. It is on a main bus route and easy to get to local places such as Sheffield Meadowhall and Sheffield centre as well as Rotherham and it is one of the cheapest places in the area. For a reason. The locality is rough looking and run down. I was warned by various people including taxi drivers that it can be dangerous for strangers. The hotel itself is home to some strange characters including one woman who had the appearance of a drug addict, being unclean, unkempt, scabby bloodied face and clutching a vomit covered beer bottle who seemed to spend every hour shouting out of her window for cigarettes off passing strangers. I was woken up at 5am by an ambulance crew banging on my door looking for a poorly woman who I could only guess was this character. The room, even though newish has cheap IKEA furniture which stains easily and wobbles alarmingly with any weight. There was so much hair in the shower plughole that when I removed it I could have stuffed a Stieff Teddy bear! The shower is so small you couldn't swing a mouse never mind a cat without turning the water to so scalding hot that you can feel your skin begin to peel! The toilet roll is single ply so be very careful.... So, to sum up. If you are only there for one night and built like ant man you will love this place.
