Playalinda

Very nice place, Staff is amazing, services are very good, good location and facilities. Children really enjoy the animation group in mini club, nights are very funny aswell, children and adult can enjoy the show. very recomended

My son (13) and I have just come back to Dublin from a one week full board stay at Playalinda, and enjoyed it. I ordered a taxi through the hotel to collect and drop us to and from the airport as Almeira is only 30 mins each way, otherwise you are on a bus which takes hours. The hotel website offers a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they said they did not. The website needs some updating. This hotel is a solid 3 star resort, not a 4 star, but perfectly nice none the less. The other guests are mostly Spanish, Dutch, German, French, and Icelandic with the odd English and Irish family thrown in. The Hotel entrance is dated and apart from a small a very very under whelming, but don't let that put you off. The staff were all lovely, from the restaurant to room cleaners, from the pool attendents to the receptionists, especially Anna who was particularly accommodating on reception. We stayed on the 7th floor, the top floor. The lifts go to 6th. But, it was wonderful, there are only 3 rooms on this level, it's incredibly quiet with great sea views. The room was dated and a little tired, but very clean with a fridge and a large balcony with chairs, table and parasol. If you want some luxury you need to book the 6th floor as this is the only floor renovated, and from peeking into these rooms, I have to say they look lovely. The food was fine for us. Each sitting has hot and cold foods on offer. Breakfast can be a full Irish, or fresh fruit, boiled eggs, fresh meats, coffee, juices, breads, pancakes, cereals sweet cakes etc, something for everyone. Lunch and dinner are much the same. I stuck to salads, my son had paella, or grilled fish or meats and French fries or pasta. There is a dessert section and for the kids an ice cream fridge and crepe station. There is a pub attached to the hotel, which has kids game machines, and a pool table. The pool area is great and very clean. There are two pools which are shared by the Playa Sol hotel opposite. Plenty of beds even when busy. There is also a separate section with water slides, which are great fun. And then there is a totally separate large quiet pool away from the maddening crowds if you prefer that. There is water aerobics at 1pm & 6pm, which was quite popular and a small kids club completely separate for them to enjoy. The beach is 1 minute walk from the hotel and is so clean. It's not a sand beach, tiny stones, but no problem to walk on in bare feet. The beds can be rented for €5 for the whole day. We walked the lovely long prom most evenings. This is divided into a walk and bicycle lane. There are some restaurants and shops along the away. If you fancy some shopping there are plenty of large shopping centres a taxi or bus journey away. There is a large Spar shop 5 mins walk from the hotel and plenty of restaurants and pubs to eat, drink or watch football, or rent a bike or family tuk tuk. En general está bien ,pero el hotel en si está antiguo,la zona de piscina y toboganes genial,el restaurante comida muy pobre y los postres toda la semana los mismos y además malos (algunos incomibles)animación lo mejor,no repetiría aunque lo pasamos bien

Exelente experiencia calidad precio y muy buena atención del personal, las instalaciones están muy bien y cuidadas, aunque lo de las hamacas es un mal de todos los hoteles en este se puede encontrar hamacas a cualquier hora del día, también está muy fácil para acceder a la playa y a pesar de ser temporada alta no se veían masificadas las instalaciones.

Después de haber leído los comentarios veníamos con un poco de miedo, pero la verdad es que una buena experiencia, obviamente el buffet tiene muchos platos que se repiten, pero es normal, es lo que comen la gran mayoría de los niños, hay variedad para escoger de todo, no hace falta atiborrarse a comer todo el primer día, y según se van terminando las bandejas las van rellenando. Los monitores de la animación fenomenal, siempre una sonrisa y se esmeran en su trabajo. Lo de las hamacas es un show, abren la piscina a las 10 y desde las 9 ya hay gente haciendo cola, salen en avalancha para dejar la toalla e irse, algunos ni aparecen en todo el día, hay un chico que va controlando las ocupadas pero que quedan vacías y si te deja un aviso, si en un tiempo no han vuelto los dueños retiran las pertenencias y las deja libres. Lo que es el hotel sí que necesitaría una modernización, pero habitación amplia, sin ruidos, vistas al mar y a las piscinas. Aclarar que el playalinda tiene una piscina grande, pero no toboganes ni animación, todo esto último se encuentra en el playasol que comparte todo esto accediendo con la tarjeta para abrir la puerta. Al llegar te ponen la típica pulsera de todo incluido, pero no sirve para nada porque hay que ir o una tarjeta para todo, para el restaurante, para el bar, para el acceso a lazo a de piscinas con toboganes y animación….

Hotel para familias con niños. Las habitaciones están bastante bien y amplias con buenas vistas. Las piscinas al ser compartidas con otro hotel están muy saturadas y es imposible conseguir una tumbona porque la gente hace cola desde las 9 de la mañana y las ocupan todo el día, hay poco control sobre eso. La zona de toboganes es un paraíso para los niños, no salen de allí, muy divertidos. Lo mejor del hotel es el restaurante. Aunque esté lleno te buscan y preparan una mesa rápidamente no tienes que estar tú pelándote con nadie. La comida muy buena y variada y da igual a la hora que vayas, siempre hay de todo y lo reponen muy rápidamente. Un diez en este tema. Lo peor de todo, la playa de la zona, muy mala. De piedras, sucia, cubre enseguida, vamos que de siete días nos bañamos uno. Para niños no es.
