First issue to start off with. Check-In, be prepared to wait. We arrived from the airport to the “hotel” at 1:30pm. *********** (where we booked) alerted us ahead of time that Check-In is at 2pm-7pm. After arriving already drained from jetlag due to a long flight we made our way to the desk. All of a sudden they said 3pm was Check-In. We did not get Checked-In until 3:30 so with 1 hour and 30 minutes to spare until we had a room to cool down, and put down our 1 year old down to stretch aswell. We decided to stroll around in the small square inside until we met our second issue. The owner. We completely understand this ‘Karen’ isn't associated with the Trevi Rome Suite but this woman was a complete B-*-T-C-H. After being stared down by a complete gremlin of a woman already making us uncomfortable..She went ahead and grabbed not one employee but two, trying to translate to tell us to not be anywhere near the square…Why own an area where tourists walk left and right then complain about strolling a child around in a stroller for not even 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes after our promised check-in (3:30pm) we experience our THIRD issue. The crib. This was our main issue and we are sure by now the entirety of the Trevi Rome Suite knows about this. IF YOU HAVE A CHILD THAT NEEDS A CRIB DO NOT RENT. You are 100% better off buying your own. This “hotel” is anything but kid friendly. We called to confirm in august over the phone multiple times for the crib, 15 euros to rent. We even asked 15 or 50 and they still repeated 15. The first night was a disaster. When the crib was finally delivered it was broken. Making it difficult throughout the night for our baby to sleep safely and comfortable on a bed. Speaking of beds, they were disgusting. Mattress had no cover or fitted sheet, just a loose flat sheet that laid on top. Towards the end of our stay we were suddenly charged 50 euros a night for the crib. What happened to 15? They said since we didn't have the crib the first night that was our discount. How could it possibly be a discount if we didn't even have a crib?? We practically paid for their newly bought crib after the first broke. We took a picture of the crib company and it told us it cost from 70-150$. There should be zero reason to rent a crib for 50 euros unless it comes with a built in tv. Our current hotel is free of rent for a crib as i type this. Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience that is not recommended as “Family Friendly”. There was no warm welcome or hospitality. Should I mention that this wouldn't even count as a hotel? It's 10 euros a night for the room to get cleaned. Highly not recommended
