Motel 6 Rock Springs, WY

We'd stayed here before and it was... OK. Not anymore. Run down although under renovation. It should be closed until finished but they are still renting rooms and it was very unpleasant. Our room had a portable AC which did not keep the room cool. The water pressure was very, very low and there was no lock on our door. If iit s wasn't so late we would have moved on. Give it a year or so and maybe it might be different?

The worst experience at a Motel 6 ever. Spent months transversing the US, staying at Motel 6, the pet friendly hotel. The Rock Springs, Wyoming charged me $40 (cash) for two dogs. The room was dirty; lights didn’t work, microwave didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work; towels looked like rags. If you have a choice, don’t stay here!

I was having issues with my Mac book having a internet glitch so I took it down to the front desk Motel staff helped me get connected very friendly I appreciate there help excellent customer service.

Yikes. This place is gross. I mean really gross and I’d say you probably want to go with the new Studio 6. Lock on the room was broken. Despite there only being three guests in the entire motel, they wouldn’t move us. Not kidding. My pillow was absolutely filthy and when I took it to the front desk he pulled the pillow case off and it was covered in dried blood. The exterior looks like it is closed and abandoned. There is trash everywhere on the grounds as well as really messed up beds that they appear to have removed from rooms and just left there. I would strongly avoid this property. Whom ever owns it does not care and I’m surprised both motel 6 and/or the city haven’t shut them down.

False advertising. I stayed at this hotel July/2023. They had no internet service or A/C (they advertised they had both). Every towel was stained, the bedsheets had stains, hairs and holes in them, no door dead bolt as the hinge was torn off and the landline would not work to call the front desk. They steps going up to second floor were filthy like bird crapped all over them so I needed to be careful where I walked. What a S%#^ hole this place was.

While checking in, the person repeatedly warned that if our dog went on to the bed, there would be an automatic $100 penalty. Never had that warning before at any other Motel 6. We should have just left. Our dog is well behaved, but always wants to be on the bed with us. The room smelled horrible, there were stains on the pillow, there was no liner for the ice bin, the floor was so dirty my socks turned black, and on and on. It was DISGUSTING! To top it off, the parking lot and sidewalk areas were littered with trash everywhere. At checkout, there was no one in the office, but the note said if a receipt was needed to write your email address on the room key holder. We never got a receipt. AVOID THIS MOTEL. It would be better to sleep in a car then to pay any amount to stay here. And the owner/manager should be ashamed of themselves for threatening dog owners with surprise $100 penalties just for leaving a few dog hairs on the bed, but with zero damage.

I called to see if they had rooms and was told yes, come to the hotel. Upon arrival the place looked more than half empty of which I would soon learn why. The first room they gave me had not been cleaned from the previous guest. So then they gave me a room that smelled, the shower curtain was hanging off because at least one hook was missing, and the towels were stained and hanging haphazardly, When I went back to the office the guy there gave me major attitude which only infuriated me more. So then they gave me the first room because they had it cleaned. Once I closed the door I started having an allergic reaction to the cleaner. I packed everything back into my car and told them I wanted my money back. At first the clerks refused and then told me they could only give me half my money back. I told them that I knew better and that if they continued to not give the whole I'd see them in court. After one of the guys inspected the room to see that I had not used anything they agreed to give a full refund. I won't know until sometime in the next few days whether or not they did. Do not ever go here! Run don't walk from there.

Unusual smell, no heat and it’s 20degrees, IV needle found on property, filthy microwave, fridge, walls, ceilings , towels beyond worn , only 2 outlets work , toilet leaks . ********** called motel 6 but Sam refused to give me the 2nd night a refund . I had to get an electric blanket and a heater so I would t freeze. This place DOES NOT abide by Covid cleaning AT ALL . If I am charged ANYTHING on my credit card there will be a claim filed . Plenty of other hotels right near by . Move to another room ? Why because this is obviously how ALL the rooms are presented .

Grounds around the buildings and pet area had dog forces which appeared to have been there for days. Room door didn’t always lock. The staff charged a pet fee even though corporate policy is pets stay free and my confirmation email said pets free. The front desk wasn’t staffed in the morning. We have stayed in a lot Motel 6’s because of their pet policy but definitely won’t be back to this one
