We were in the honeymoon suite, arabella, and the room was incredible, the bed was super comfortable, there’s a fire place in the room, as well as the bathroom, which has a huge bath. The fittings and accompaniments are perfect, modern and you won’t find yourself lacking anything. The kitchen has brilliant food, and the wines that accompany it are unbeatable. The staff are super attentive, especially Paul, he’s brilliant and attentive. Trevor and Mandy, the owners, are so great in terms of hospitality, heart and soul! We were recommended some small boutique wine farms and trips, (those I’ll leave for you to find out) and I can truly say that some of those experiences are so beautiful and unique that if I went back again, I’m sure it wouldn’t be the same. I can not recommend this place enough, it feels like home on every level! Do yourself a favour, if you do go to Robertson, get to the grand Hotel!

Well done Mandy;Trevor and staff for an unbelievable; awesome great; fantastic stay and experience we had at the GRAND HOTEL. From the moment we arrivec we were treated like ROYAL. On a cold winters day we were spoilt at our arrival with an Arabella Melot. That was just the beginning of many more great extras to follow. Our arabella room was out of this world; with the highlight, the fireplace. The attention to detail was awesome; dinner and breakfast top class. Our trip ended with a london cab taxi; courtesy of our taxi driver Trevor ; to kleinhoekkloof wine estate- where our lunch and tasting was out of this world; with the winery nestled deep in the mountain TOP MARKS for you; i will recommend anybody to stay here. I just love it when your expectations are exceeded! And it was our experience at the Grand Hotel in Robertson. We can highly recommend the owner run hotel . The staff are well trained and very helpful and friendly. Small attention to detail makes the difference ! Excellent value for money - the food is also of high quality

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and were greeted by Mandy, the owner, and some of her lovely staff. Our room, the honeymoon suite, is beautifuly decorated and attention paid to the smallest of details, such as the exquisite gowns, hot water bottle in our bed at night time, as well as a freshly baked treat next to our bed. Breakfast is a delight and such a treat having it next to the crackling fireplace. We will definitely be back to this charming gem in Robertson.

A quaint little town, great for the wine train and the Grand Hotel is the perfect place to stay. We arrived too late to get a sear on the train, but the owner offered to try and get us seats at the bar on board, however after a long drive chose to stay at the hotel and relax. Our room was gorgeous, stand alone bath, sofas and chairs and 2 large fireplaces. Gardens with sun loungers, cushions and towels and the icing on the cake a newly opened spa. I can honestly say that the 90 min deep tissue massage with Amanda was the best massage I have ever had ( and trust me I've had lots). If only I didn't live 6k miles away I'd definitely be back regularly. Nice breakfast by the pool and varied menu also available throughout the day.

We visited to have a drink and a meal and were truly delighted by the beautiful building and lovely hosts. The gardens are lovely for a pre dinner drink before choosing from their menu. Food was superb, fresh, aromatic and very tasty. We were happy to walk back to our B&B but they insisted we get a lift in their London Black cab. Perfect end to lovely evening.

Beautiful hotel originally renovated by new owners. Luxurious rooms, peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff, swimming pool, safe environment. If you sleep over, you are treated to a good bottle of wine from the valley, a ride in an old black London car and a free wine tasting.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely rooms, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, but the element that makes this hotel an experience is their wine farm concept rooms. Honoring regional wine farms with lovely art, sample wines and wine tasting tours. Will definitely visit again.
