The Riverhouse

The Riverhouse is a great value for its location and price. The internet was fantastic. I am a remote worker so fast internet is an absolute necessity. The owners are responsive and friendly. The breakfast was well-appointed with selections including oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit (for an additional price). Conversely, the correction of a few annoyances would have improved my experience. Specialty coffee was available during breakfast, but only for guests who purchased the breakfast add-on. I highly recommend slightly increasing the price of the room to include this amenity 24/7 to eliminat e confusion because it did cause conflicts with some of the guests, even though the breakfast purchase requirement was clearly marked. The "desk" could not accommodate my laptop. A shelf was placed so I could only open my laptop if I moved to the far side of the desk, making typing almost impossible. I was on the third floor (no elevator) and had to go to the dining area when I wanted to work. Additionally, I have long hair and was provided a single towel and no washcloth. Finally, the lights were on a motion detector. The light would turn off in the shared bathroom almost immediately after sitting on the toilet. An additional lighting problem occurred on the multiple-level staircase. Frequently, I would have to be halfway down the stairs to the lower or higher floor before the lights would come on.

My second experience at this place. Quite, clean, near the river, castle and Bute Park. Breakfast is great. Owners are very friendly and helpful. If I return to this City, should be the choice. Shared bathrooms were not a problem at all. I recomend.

The accomodation is extremely calm, I heard nothing from the stadium that is at the opposite side of the river. It is very convenient as it is located in the heart of Cardiff so that you can reach all sights by a foot walk. The hosts are extremely helpful and supported me with special wishes, e.g. when my luggage was delivered that had been lost on the flight or when I picked up my luggage after leaving the accomodation at the day of departure. The entire premise is very clean. The only regrettable point are the shared bathrooms and toilets. You do not even have a sink in your room.

The room was clean and spacious. Good central location over the River Taff only five minutes walk from Cardiff Central Station but still quiet at night. The kitchen facilities looked modern and clean, but mine was a flying visit so I didn't use them.

Really decent accommodation in a very nice picturesque part of Cardiff - just by the River! Room had warm, comfortable beds and clean beddings. Hosts did well to ensure the room was ready before my arrival, and they provided all relevant info for access and amenities. Highly recommended!

Modern house , very clean , excellent location, walking distance from castle and stadium, hosts provided plenty of contact and information regarding checking into / access to property and amenities. Lucky enough to park in same road for a fee. Would definitely book again

Really didn't know what to expect. The apartments are a short walk from town and the park. My entrance code emailed to me got me into the house and a keysafe outside me bedroom door held 2 fobs for entry. There was a lovely sitting area with tables inside and on a small patio. It was clean and neat and well organised and emailing the host about breakfast was quick and easy. Overall would really recommend. I will stay here again when we come back to Cardiff

A thoroughly enjoyable stay.. A comfortable bed in a clean room. Breakfast was good value for £4.00 each. Well situated for events at the Principality Stadium (we were there to see Bruce Springsteen) or just to get into the city centre. Highly recommended!
